New from MSE for the Mugen MTX-4 is this hyper flex chassis kit. The set includes this newly designed 3mm chassis plate combined with a newly developed single piece engine mount. Made from high quality aluminium the chassis is extremely stiff and through ingenious and optimized milling it gives the car incredible stability, which increases the traction and overall performance.

Having first shown you CAD images and just a few days ago the first photos, Mugen have now released studio photos of their new MRX-5 together with an interview with lead designer and team driver Robert Pietsch. Successful testing in both Europe and Japan has been completed and Mugen Seiki Japan has given the go-ahead to go into full production effective immediately. Robert has been more than satisfied with the intensive test program and feels the new car offers very high traction and lots of steering. The car is really easy to drive and above all is faster than its predecessor.

New from Mugen Seiki is this rear lower arm mount for the MBX-6 and 6T. This machined aluminum bracket houses the new plastic bushings which offers increased strength in this area and allows you to only replace the bushings when they get worn, not the entire bracket. The bushings, which can also be bought separately, come with 3 different pivot pin mounting positions to make multiple combination’s for roll centre adjustment.

The first photos of the new Mugen MRX-5 have been leaked onto the internet. Nothing unusual to be seen in the photographs, looking just like a production version of the CAD images we brought you back in February. With the car seemingly ready, or at least close to final, we could see the car hitting the market in the next weeks.

New from Team Titan is this Blitz MBX6 body shell. Featuring more front downforce than the original body, it gives less air time for quicker jumps. Extra space around the rear also gives better engine cooling. Made from high quality 1.0mm or 1.5mm thick polycarbonate with a protective film on the outside, it is supplied with high quality windows masks and decals. Also new from Team Titan is their new big diameter 84mm buggy wheel. Designed to fit the most popular 1/8th off road racing tires from the U.S. it is made from lightweight and high impact resistant nylon and is available in white and fluorescent yellow.

Pro-Line have announced that their controversial new Bull Dog shell is now available for the Mugen MBX-6 and Losi 8ight. Featuring an advanced forward cab design, it generates unmatched off-power steering, while the exposed cylinder head stabilizes engine temps and the flattened rear deck feeds the wing with clean air flow. Made from durable / genuine .040 Lexan, the shell is supplied with decal sheet, window mask and paint-then-peel overspray film. These new shells join the previously available versions for the Hot Bodies D8 and Associated RC8.

Mugen has boosted its German team for the 2010 on road season. Since years Sebastian Buerge, Rene Puepke and Philipp Sting have been pillars of Mugen Team Germany which has now seen Christian Wurst coming home to the Japanese manufacturer as well as Joerg and Uwe Baldes as newcomers. Needless to say that factory driver Robert Pietsch will also keep the Mugen flag flying on German tracks, as well as Steven Cuypers from Belgium.
“We have a strong and experienced team to enter races in Germany and of course on an international level”, says Stefan Habbecke of Mugen Seiki Europe (MSE) located in Gelsenkrichen/Germany. “We are ambitious and committed. Joerg and Uwe Baldes will race for Mugen Team Germany in the 2010 season. With the successful and established chassis of the Japanese manufacturer Mugen Seiki the brothers will enter the 1/8 as well as the 1/10 scale nitro class. Both will mainly compete in races in Western Germany and also at the German Nationals in both categories. Furthermore they are looking forward to international races with the World Championship 1/10 in Houston/Texas as an expected seasonal highlight. “We are delighted about this new challenge and the opportunity to enter both classes with Mugen“ said Joerg and Uwe Baldes. “We especially look forward to the new MRX5, a real innovation on the 1/8 scale market.”
