PSM Racing have released new machined aluminium fuel tank posts for the Mugen MBX-6 1/8th scale buggy. Made from high grade materials they are a  direct replacement of the standard stock part. Sold in pairs, they are available in stanadard silver colour and are supplied with the required fasteners.

Mugen release 2009 range of caps

Following on from the range of caps released last year, Mugen have announced the release of their 2009 range of team caps. Similar in layout to the 2008 hats, featuring the latest Mugen logo embroidered on the front, the new cap has a slightly different design and the colours are also different, coming now in navy, black and ivory. Available in 2 sizes for the different extremities of head sizes.

RT Symbio Mugen MBX-6 body

Reckward Tuning have released their Symbio body shell for the Mugen MBX-6. As with other shells in this line, this body shell will allow you to use all conventional performance air filters available today on the market and is supplied with Symbio decals and window masks. The shell is made from 1mm thick high quality polycarbonate and comes transparent pre cut with the base, tank cap, engine position and antenna all milled out.

Francesco Tironi to switch to Mugen

Francesco Tironi to switch to Mugen

F.V.S.S. Racing Team in Italy have announced that current Italian 1/10th 200mm Touring car champion Francesco Tironi will be joining their team in 2009. Francesco will be making the change to Mugen Seiki this year, leaving behind a long standing deal with Kyosho Japan that has seen them reach World and European Championship finals together. Tironi will continue to compete in the 1/8th and 1/10th scale classes and will stick with long term engine partner Sirio, while for fuel he will run the Master Fuel by Capricorn RC, with Matrix Tires and KO Propo completing his sponsor list.

Mugen Seiki MBX-6 body skins

New from Mugen are these body shell skins for the MBX-6 buggy. Designed by US custom specialists Upgrade RC, they come in 3 colours, blue, green and red, and are pre cut. Simple to apply, just paint your shell with a base colour, peel and stick. Once applied they are strong and flexible, and so can withstand crashes, and most importantly they are resistant to fuel.

Vita Tuning MBX-6 Active Caster system

Vita Tuning have produced their Active Caster system for the Mugen MBX-6. Made from machined aluminium, this 2 piece system allows the racer to adjust the original upper wishbone angle by +3 or +6 degrees. Doing this means that the car can be stable at high speeds but give steering when needed at slow speeds, making the car less nervous and easier to drive.

Steven Cuypers confirms move to Mugen

Former Belgian National Champion Steven Cuypers has announced his move from Serpent to Mugen for the 2009 season. The former European B Champion, European “A” finalist and multiple GP winner will use the MRX-4X in this years national series as well as competing at the World Championships in Lostallo in August. Steven will power his car with Sirio motors and will use Enneti tires for grip.
