ORCA OE101 stock class ESC – Coming soon

ORCA have released first teaser images of their forthcoming new OE101 spec class speed controller. It features an extreme low centre of gravity design that makes it possibly the thinnest spec class ESC on the market while still offering the smooth driving feel and power delivery of its bigger brother, the OE1. Full details on specifications and features will becoming available soon with the controller being set for an August release.

ORCA OE1 1/10th brushless speed controller

Available now from ORCA is their all-new OE1 brushless speed controller for 1/10th competition applications. Utilising a machined alloy case with heatsink design the ESC is 760A peak current rates, allowing to use it with down to 4.5T modified motors. Other features include an adjustable heavy-duty 6V/7.2V and 5A BEC system, 3S LiPo compatibility, and an easy-to-replace receiver wire. The controller is adjustable using Orca’s options programming card and it comes including all-black power wires and an optional cooling fan.

Jilles Groskamp inks deal with ORCA

ORCA have announced the signing of Dutch on-road frontrunner, Jilles Groskamp to their factory team. The former IFMAR Electric Touring World Champion and long-time Team Orion factory driver will use ORCA brushless motors, speed controllers and batteries from now on while also helping with the development of future products. The Thailand-based joins another spearhead of the electric touring car scene, Akio Sobue, who signed with ORCA in July.

Akio Sobue inks deal with ORCA

ORCA have announced the signing of Japanese frontrunner, Akio Sobue to their factory team. The former long-time LRP driver is understood to use ORCA’s full line of motors, speed controllers, batteries and chargers during his upcoming campaign.

Hiro Seiko brushless motor alloy screw sets

Made for 540-class brushless motors such as the Muchmore Fleta ZX V2, ORCA Blitreme or Ready S+Plus and Sonic 540-M3 are new aluminium screw sets from Hiro Seiko. They are available in a total of six colours and while saving some weight they also raise the top RPM by about five percent as they have no influence on the magnetic field of the motor. The screws are made of aircraft-grade aluminium and they are available in purple, dark blue, light blue, orange, red and silver anodising.

Mathieu Briere ORCA-powered for 2018

ORCA have announced the signing of Mathieu Briere to their electric off-road team for 2018. The 4WD French national vice-champion will run ORCA products at events such as the French Nationals, the Euro Offroad Series as well as the European Championships and he had the following to say about the deal:

I am very glad to be running ORCA product and be part of their Team for 2018! I am looking forward to use those quality products for this new season.

ORCA Generation 4 Graphene LiHV battery packs

ORCA have introduced their new Generation 4 Graphene LiHV high-voltage Lithium-Polymer battery packs for a range of competition applications. Available are a 8500mAh standard size pack, two 6300mAh and 5500mAh standard length low centre of gravity batteries, as well as a 5400mAh shorty and a 8500mAh 1S pan car pack. All 2S packs feature through-type cases so they can be accessed from either side or stacked for multi-pack applications and the batteries are built using ORCA’s 4th generation Graphene cells for improved performance and exceptional durability.

ORCA RT, RTS & Blitreme alloy screw set

ORCA have introduced an aluminium screw set for the RT, RTS and Blitreme brushless motors that will improve the motor’s performance thanks to being non-magnetic. The set includes three long motor case and three short end cap screws and using the fasteners will increase the motor’s overall RPM while making for faster throttle response at the same time.
