Serpent have introduced this 2009 rear suspension upgrade-set for 720 racers. This set allows you to mount the supplied rear uprights and rear lower arms of the 733 to your Serpent 720, the resulting offset will allow for more rear end grip and better cornering. For this the longer pivot balls are needed, which are also supplied.

For the 2-speed gearbox, there is a new lightweight 2 speed shaft that has been hollowed out to reduce overall weight while retaining its strength, while at the heart of the gearbox itself there is a new 2-speed adapter that has been made from Aircraft grade titanium for light weight, long durability and high strength. Finally there is also a new middle shaft, which too has been made from 64 titanium for extra weight benefits without sacrificing strength.

Michael Wächter joins Team SMI/Xray

Team SMI/Xray has welcomed Michael Wächter to their Offroad Team for the 2010 season. After some good years with Team Thunder Tiger, Michael will drive the new Xray XB808 and XT8 using Orcan/Novarossi engines and Orcan fuel in 2010. Competing in the South German championship, Xray Nitro masters and the German championship in Sand and Fischach, Michael had the following to say “I’m happy to join such a professional team around engine Guru Bertram Kessler and I`m really looking forward to 2010”

CSO Racing have released this pair of radio plate mounts for the Serpent 733 1/10th scale 200mm chassis. Made from 7075 T6 aluminium, they are sold in a pair of left and right pieces and while still lightweight they help reduce any flexing in this area. A direct replacement for the standard plastic kit versions.

Tom Cockerill joins Speed Passion

Tom Cockerill joins Speed Passion

Speed Passion have announced that front running British off road racer Tom Cockerill has completed a deal that sees him run Speed Passion’s full line of products next season. Tom, who only recently moved to British buggy maker Schumacher had the following to say about the deal:

After testing Speed Passion equipment I knew it was what I wanted to use for the forthcoming season. It is ultra smooth and runs very efficiently, leaving it cooler after a run than anything else I’ve used before. The Speedo’s are very easy to set-up and have enough parameter’s for any driver.
