Awesomatix A800R New Parts

Awesomatix has released a number of new parts for their A800R 1:10 Electric Touring Car. New ST05-R Damper Rods add “friction type” damping into the suspension operation. ST05-R slides along ST102 with noticeable friction at suspension travel. Friction damping feature more compression of suspension = more damping, even at low speed of suspension. Oil damping feature more speed of suspension travel = more damping. Small damping at low speed of suspension. With ST05-R the car rolls and dives slower and responds to the steering input faster. A800R damper settings which were good with ST205 rods, should be 10…25% softer when using ST05-R. Also new are the AT143 ARB Stiffeners which increases stiffness of the anti-roll bar up to one step. +1 step stiffness increasing means that 1.0 mm bar acts like 1.1 mm bar, 1.1 mm bar acts like 1.2 mm bar, 1.2 mm bar acts like 1.3 mm bar and 1.3 mm bar acts like 1.4 mm bar. 1/2 and 1/4 steps of increasing are possible to set.

OfficinaRC introduce Aero-B aero bumpers

Best known for their high precision screws, OfficinaRC has introduced the Aero-B range of aero bumpers for electric touring car. The Aero-Bumper project was born with the idea of not leaving unexplored the solution of using airflow to increase performance on scale models. It is no secret that in recent years aerodynamics has perhaps been the aspect that has most influenced motorsport in general. From this consideration, Aero-B was born – Bumpers designed to channel air onto the front end and increase steering control at medium and high speeds. In addition to the aerodynamic aspect, a lot of work has been done in the choice of materials to create it. In fact, Aero-B is created using 3D printing with MSLA resin printing technology using a combination of ABS+TPU techno-polymers that give it good resilience with a lightweight. As always for OfficinaRC products, the design of these products makes the model’s look even more appealing. The Aero-B bumpers are available for Awesomatix’ A800R (7.3g), A800MMX (6.7g) and A800FX (6.7g) and the Xray X4 and X4F (6.2g). This product is aimed at those who are looking for performance in detail, not just pure resistance.

Infinity Ultra High Speed Fuel Gun

Creation Model has released this Infinity Ultra High Speed Fuel Gun which features a faster fuel release than any of its predecessors. Two options of the fuel gun are available, the traditional gun type and a side-trigger type with intuitive, straight-forward access to the fuel tank. Several mechanics used this Ultra High Speed Fuel Gun at the 2022 1:10 Nitro Touring World Championships in Bangkok, helping Naoto Matsukura get the TQ and Tadahiko Sahashi the overall World Championship.

Joe Richardson joins Yokomo HK/China

In what Team Yokomo says is their final driver announcement of 2023 following a raft of driver signings recently, the Japanese manufacturer has through Yokomo HK/China signed Joe Richardson to the team. On joining the team, the British racer, who is based in Hong Kong/China, said, “I am very excited to be joining the Yokomo HK/China team for the coming year and beyond! I am very proud to be supported by such an incredible RC brand with a lot of history and many WC’s under their belt. I cant wait to get started with the new BD12.”

Matrix 17mm Offroad wheel wrench

Having unveiled its all new range of 1:8 Buggy tyres in February, offroad newcomers Matrix Racing Tires has added its own 17mm Offroad wheel wrench to its product offering. The Italian company has signed some of the biggest names in 1:8 Offroad racing for its venture into this very competitive market and the wheel wrench is a logical product to offer customers. The two piece wrench features a yellow/gold handle reflecting the brand yellow branding and it comes complete with an attachment that with the t-bar removed allows the 17mm hex to be fitted and used on a electric driver.

Axon 3mm Turnbuckles & Wing Brace

Japan’s Axon has announced the release of two new items, the Fusion 3mm aluminium turnbuckles and aluminium wing brace. Directly affecting the movement of a car’s suspension and steering feel, the Fusion turnbuckle is a luxury finished product for all uses which is heat treated and provides a marked difference to the feel of your set-up. With the 3mm a popular choice, it comes in 20, 26, 28 snd 39mm lengths. The black finished wing braces provide extensive rear downforce across all low-speed zones. Enlarging the fixed area of the rear wing provides optimal rear down force which is a must for high speed touring cars in recent years.

Shepherd to cease business

Onroad nitro stalwarts Shepherd has made the sad announced that it is to cease business at the end of June. The German based manufacturer was a pivotal brand in the racing scene and was also a great supporter of racing with CEO Patrick Schafer, a accomplished racer himself, one of those who played a major role in the establishment of the Euro Nitro Series. That support helped the ENS grow into a major Worldwide series that attracted drivers from around the globe really raising the profile and interest in the category during its peak years. Shepherd Micro Racing was originally set-up by Patrick’s father Werner, who loved his racing and being track side, but since his passing the ‘fire of passion’ in the company has dwindled and following 15-years as CEO Patrick is making the difficult decision to stop the business. That said they are in talks with several interested parties about keeping the Shepherd legacy alive. Having had the pleasure of working with Patrick and his father over the years, visited their factory, and enjoyed the height of the Kurbuch/Shepherd era, Red RC would like to thank Patrick for all he did for nitro onroad racing and wish him well in his new projects. Revolution Design Racing Products has released this new B74.2 Ultra Battery Mount Set as the perfect solution to replace the original battery mount. The kit supplied mount uses an O-ring to secure the battery while this RDRP set is a high-quality and precise alternative made from CNC-machined aluminium and carbon. With this set, you can still accurately determine the battery position using the original inserts. The advantage of this improved mount is the ease of handling when changing batteries. The upper carbon plate can simply be swung to the side without the need for tools.
