Xray to release EC edition of XB8

Xray release EC edition of XB8

Xray are very busy at the moment, making product and driver announcements. The latest bit of news to come from the guys in Slovakia is that they will be releasing an EC edition of their 1/8th scale EC winning buggy, the XB8. Details are slim about whether it is a limited edition kit or their 2007 version of the XB8, probably the latter, but i’m sure we will know more after the Nurnberg toy fair which takes place this week.

The XRAY Development Team continued its development and improvement of the XB8, bringing forth in 2007 the improved and optimized XB8 â€“ the European Champion edition.

Schumacher release first official images of Mi3

After many spy shots of the new 190mm touring car from Schumacher and much talk about it, the British company has finally released official images of the new Mi3. Schumacher appear to have taken their re entry into the top of the competition scene very seriously and alongside employing some big name drivers have made a very nice car which will be in the shops at the end of March.

The Schumacher Mi3 is the first next generation touring car. It will set new standards for 4WD electric touring car design. Featuring a host of design innovations and a unique ultra modern look the Mi3 will be the car to beat at race tracks around the world and the benchmark all new touring cars will be compared to.

Corally RDX phi, best launch photo…..ever

Corally have been known to put women, wearing very little clothing, in their promotional material before, but this is just the most blatant attention whoring ever, and i love it. Using the same stripper from the DHI cup, Corally presents us with their latest and greatest car, the ‘Phi’. I don’t need to go into details about the cars specs again so i wont, you can check those out here. The car will be shown at NÃ¼rnberg this week and be available soon after.

Martin Christensen to race Xray NT1

In Xrays efforts to create a super star team they have acquired the services of Danish racer Martin Christensen. European champion in the now almost dead 235mm class, Martin has also won multiple Danish national titles as well the Nordic Championships on 2 occasions and is definitely a quick racer.

When I arrived at the track and testing area, I was met with a familiarly noise – nitro engines! There was an indoor track with enough space to hold big indoor nitro races. Seeing all this reassured my decision to join Team XRAY. XRAY has what it takes to make world championship cars.

Travis ‘Peanut’ Amezcua joins Novarossi

Travis Amezcua joins Novarossi

2006 ROAR Nationals TQ and Team Losi team driver, Travis ‘Peanut’ Amezcua, has signed for Novarossi engines for 2007. Travis had previously run with Sirio up until now and ran with his new Italian power plants at last weekends Losi Winter Champs finishing on the podium in both the buggy and truggy classes.

Sidorf to release XR engine range

Spanish 1/8th scale buggy manufacturer Sidorf is to release a new engine range this year called the XR range. The first motor to be released will be the GP7T, which is a 7 port designed for serious pace off road. More information to follow.

Martin Hudy wins International Friendship Race 2007

Xray are reporting on their site that Martin Hudy, driving his Xray T2007 won the International Friendship race held at the beginning of January in Vienna, Austria. The race was attended by 55 drivers from Austria, Slovakia, Czech Republic, and Hungary and the racing was split into 2 classes, stock and modified. Martin dominated the entire race, taking the race TQ, and then going on to take the win ahead of 2nd placed Vaclav Strupek also with and Xray and Markus Eder in 3rd.

New Crono buggy, not RC8

Two days ago we showed this picture and asked if it was the new Associated and well what we know about the new RC8 pretty much ruled it out, like the fact that it uses C hubs and will come with a somewhat radical wing and body. So now there has been a lot of guessing concerning this picture, myself included, and it seems the front runner is that this is the new Crono and comparing it to a picture of the RS03 would seem to confirm that.
