Picco SIX 1:8 Offroad Engine

Italian engine manufacturer Picco has announced the addition of the brand new SIX to its line-up of .21 1:8 Offroad engines.  Based on the experience of the P3 and keeping a clear buggy philosophy it offers strong low-end power, good acceleration, easy tuning, and solid drivability.  The new 6-port sleeve improves drivability, making the engine smoother, more consistent, and easier to control in all conditions.  Power delivery is then more linear, helping the driver stay in control while still keeping enough punch for jumps and corner exits.  A lighter, modern cooling head improves balance and helps maintain stable temperatures over long runs.  The result is a simple, predictable engine that is easy to set up and reliable.  The Picco SIX is built to deliver usable performance, lap after lap.  Positioning in the Picco range.  The SIX is a strong addition to the Picco range, sitting alongside the DIX.  Both engines are designed for different needs on track.  The DIX is the high-end performance model, focused on maximum power and top-level potential.  The SIX focuses more on usability and efficiency.  It keeps the Picco performance DNA, but delivers it in a more controllable, easier-to-use and more consistent way over a full run.  Where the DIX pushes maximum performance, the SIX focuses on accessibility, consistency, and control.  Both engines share the same DNA, but the SIX is aimed at drivers who want confidence and performance they can fully exploit.

Picco Monza-X 10-Port 1:8 Onroad Engine

Italian engine manufacturer Picco has unveiled their all-new Monza-X .21 1:8 onroad competition engine. Describing it as the latest expression of their high-end racing philosophy for the 1:8 onroad competition class, it is the result of decades of hands-on experience in precision manufacturing, advanced material selection, and surface treatment technologies, combined with an intensive development program carried out throughout the 2025 racing season.  At the heart of the Monza-X lies an all-new, exclusive 10-port cylinder, entirely developed in-house. Its port layout and internal geometry are the result of extensive fluid-dynamics studies and track validation, providing a substantial increase in power output while maintaining excellent fuel efficiency and thermal stability.  The long-stroke architecture has been carefully engineered to generate strong and consistent torque across the entire RPM range, resulting in outstanding drivability, immediate throttle response, and superior acceleration out of corners.  Supplied with an 8.5 mm venturi, to ensure long-term durability and mechanical efficiency, the engine features a DLC-coated crankshaft, specifically treated to minimise friction, reduce wear, and protect against oxidation.  The rotating assembly is completed by a 14 mm rear Swiss ceramic ball bearing and a meticulously aligned knife-edged aerodynamic connecting rod, designed to reduce turbulence and mechanical losses at high RPM.

New Picco Oval venturi

Italian engine manufacturer Picco have released a new oval shaped venturi for use with .21 sized engines.  First seen as part of their recent P3TT Limited edition buggy engine release, the venturi is now available for use in all engines.  The ‘Oval’ venturi offers a progressive opening: the surface of a horizontal ellipse evolving more gently than the round opening of a regular restrictor. The result is that on a low traction track the engine has smoother acceleration for improved drivability and fuel consumption.
