Roche Rapide P10W 235mm 1/10th scale pan car kit

Roche Rapide P10W 235mm 1/10th scale pan car kit

Roche have introduced their Rapide P10W 235mm 1/10th scale pan car kit. Building on the 200mm variant the car makes use of a 3mm high-grade carbon fibre main chassis plate and lower pod plate, and it allows for extensive wheelbase settings with ±2mm being achievable using the front lower alloy suspension block and additional ±1.5mm are available using the front graph suspension plate. Other features include a ball-raced rack-type steering system, quick adjust Ackermann, fully adjustable Xenon-made front suspension, a big bore centre and lightweight micro side dampers as well as a floating steering servo mount for low-profile and mini-size servos. The chassis itself allows for a range of battery configurations including inline standard and shorty packs as well as transversally mounted shorties. The link-type kit furthermore comes with a range of options such as a differential thrust race, 64 pitch 93T Xenon Racing main gear as well as a 30mm cooling fan mount and low-friction pivot balls and ball studs.

Roche P12 titanium-coated suspension & shock shafts

Roche P12 titanium-coated suspension & shock shafts

Coming from Roche and made for the company’s Rapide P12 1/12th scale kit are several titanium-coated parts. New are 2mm upper hinge pins, king pins and a micro shock shaft all of which sport a friction-reducing and highly wear resistant titanium coating to make for smooth and consistent suspension action. The hinge and king pins come as pairs and all parts are direct replacements for the stock parts.

McFactory Type L 1/12th scale conversion kits

McFactory Type L 1/12th scale conversion kits

McFactory have introduced their all new Type L 1/12th scale conversion kits. The “L” is in honour of National Champion Donny Lia, who was instrumental in the development of this new car. The kits were designed for the new high-bite black CRC carpet and feature inverted sidelink mounts to allow for a narrower chassis that in turn makes for more undisturbed chassis roll on the high-grip carpet without dragging while also moving weight closer to the centre of the car. Also included are raised front carbon bumpers that remove nose weight and solve the dragging issues everyone has on the new carpet. Finally a recessed tape slot in the centre does away with the battery tape getting cut or caught. The Type “L” conversion will be made for the CRC, Team Associated, Serpent, TOP, SpeedMerchant, Roche, and Xray cars with the later will also come with the rear pod moved 2mm towards the diff and a new top plate. Another cool option is the ORCA shock mount with the speedo screwing into the chassis and an upper heatsink carbon fibre brace acting as shock mount. Non Orca kits will utilise the standard shock mounts from whatever chassis is converted.

Roche Rapide F1 2.25mm carbon fibre chassis

Roche Rapide F1 2.25mm carbon fibre chassis

Roche have introduced two new option parts for the Rapide F1 formula car. First up is the new low-traction carbon fibre chassis cut from 2.25mm material and best used on slippery asphalt tracks. The chassis was tested by Roche’s Olivier Bultynck at the recent fourth round of the ETS and it is complemented by the second new part, a suitable 2.25mm carbon fibre lower pod plate. The latter is necessary to achieve a properly aligned power pod when running the 2.25mm main chassis plate.

Roche introduce new Rapide F1-2016 option parts

Roche introduce new Rapide F1-2016 option parts

Roche have introduced two new option parts for the Rapide F1-2016 1/10th formula car. First up is the short aluminium front standoff set for the use with smaller diameter tyres. The 11.8mm standoffs in combination with the 0.5mm spacers allow to run proper ride height settings when using somewhat smaller tyres that would reduce the ground clearance too much with the kit’s parts. The set includes four aluminium front A-arm standoffs and four 0.5mm shims. The second new part is a graphite front brace that allows to fine-tune the stiffness of the front end. It connects the lower A-arms and makes for a more rigid setting that leads to a more stable car.

Roche Rapide F1 aluminium chassis & pod plate

Roche Rapide F1 aluminium chassis & pod plate

Coming from Roche and made for their Rapide F1-16 formula car are an aluminium main chassis and lower pod plate. Both parts are machined from 7075-T6 aluminium, they come gun metal anodised and are made to reduce the chassis flex for improved performance and a more stable and easier to drive car on medium to high-bite tracks. Both parts are available separately and they become available by end of April.

Roche Rapide F1-2016 1/10th formula kit

Roche Rapide F1-2016 1/10th formula kit

Roche have introduced the Rapide F1-2016 1/10th formula kit. The car is based on a narrow design 2.5mm high-grade carbon fibre chassis to reduce chassis scrub in corners and it also features a front suspension system made up of 2.5mm carbon parts that allow to adjust the caster angle in a range of 3 degree up to 12 degree. The front end also allows the easy adjustment of the camber angle and steering Ackermann while incorporating an aluminium servo mount that can be used in a floating and fixed design. Other features include low friction pivot balls and ball studs, and polished kingpins. The chassis allows to run the battery pack in an inline or transversal position, and the kit includes a 7075 aluminium rear motor pod that utilises rear axle mounts with ride height spacers and the option to run the rear axle in +/-1mm forward or backward positions. The kit is rounded out by a highly precise ball differential with 5mm thrust bearing, clamp-type wheel adapter and a steel main shaft.
