Schumacher CAT 12.5 degree alloy yokes

Schumacher CAT 12.5 degree alloy yokes

Schumacher have introduced 12.5 degree alloy yokes for the CAT 4WD buggy. The parts are made from black anodised aluminium and using them makes for more on-power steering coming out of the corner while increasing straight line stability. This will help on bumpy tracks but with the loss of some initial steering. The laser-etched hubs have the same features as the kit plastic 10 degree yokes as well as an optional longer camber link and +1mm wheelbase adjustment.

Schumacher Mini Pin 1 off-road buggy tyre

Schumacher Mini Pin 1 off-road buggy tyre

The Schumacher Mini Pin has become the market leading tyre for 1/10th buggy carpet racing and it is used as the control tyre for many race series worldwide including the EOS, DHI Cup and Schumacher Indoor Masters. To meet increased demand Schumacher have re-tooled the original Mini Pin tyre and introduced the Mini Pin 1. The new tyre will become available in yellow, blue and silver compound to replace the original Mini Pin, which will be phased out over the next few months. The Mini Pin 1 features improvements to wheel fitment and quality and the performance on the track is intended to match the original Mini Pin tyre. The Mini Pin 2 launched 12 months ago will also continue to be available. This tyre features a thinner carcass, provides more traction and is better suited to lower grip tracks.

Schumacher touring car wheel arch cutting jig

Schumacher touring car wheel arch cutting jig

Schumacher have released a wheel arch cutting jig for 1/10th touring cars. The jig ensures accurate and repeatable cutting out of wheel arches time after time. Simply set the car to the required ride height and position the body shell to the desired height. Position the jig flush with the outside of the body shell and locate the centre of the axle through the hole in the tool. The end radius is different from side to side to prevent body tucks so the the jig’s orientation is critical. Hold the jig and draw round the inside with a fine marker pen and then carefully cut to the line with a pair of curved scissors. The jig can also measure wing overhang with the handy 10mm step.

Schumacher peripheral touring car dampers

Schumacher peripheral touring car dampers

The Schumacher peripheral damping system has been developed for touring cars to help minimise tyre contact patch load fluctuations, caused by small bumps in the track surface. This means the tyre remains in contact with the ground more often, resulting in more grip and improved lap times. The damping characteristic is dependent upon the position of the piston within the shock body. The damping is softest when the piston is at the bottom of the shock, at which point the peripheral volume is at its greatest. Conversely the damping is hardest when the shock is at the top of the body, and the sleeve has the smallest opening. As a consequence of this, the damping characteristic progressively increases with bump/roll, compared to the kit damper assembly which offers linear damping throughout the damping stroke. The dampers are supplied in pairs to fit the Schumacher Mi5evo, but will also fit other touring cars on the market. Spare parts are available separately to update current Mi5evo shocks.
