Schumacher Big Bore touring car shocks

Schumacher Big Bore touring car shocks

Schumacher have introduced the first large diameter ‘Big Bore’ shocks on to the market for 1/10th Touring Car’s. Under testing for many months the team have found these larger diameter shocks an extremely good tuning option for the Mi4 and will also fit other Touring Cars. Especially good on bumpy, lower traction tracks but equally at home on higher grip surfaces, the assembled units are sold as a pair, and include popular 16lb springs.

Schumacher Cougar SV gearbox casing & shock mount

Schumacher Cougar SV gearbox casing & shock mount

Schumacher have announce the release of the following new products for the Cougar SV. Firstly is this CNC machined alloy 2 piece gearbox casing. Designed to be a super precision fit for ultimate alignment of the transmission assembly with an extremely tight seal to prevent dirt ingress. Made from tough 7075-T6 alloy, this unit also looks cool with its engraving and stealth black look. The heavier weight also gives more rear weight bias for improved traction. Secondly for the Cougar SV is this new shock mount. Something that the team drivers have been developing for some time, this new 4mm carbon fibre mount is drilled to sit 4mm lower than the standard version. This enables the front end to have more droop and less up travel, something the drivers have desired under a lot of conditions.

Exclusive – Schumacher Mi4CX

Schumacer Mi4CX

Schumacher have a first production version of their new Mi4CX at the first round of the ETS, driven by Belgian team driver Manuel Henriet, which is an update to their British Championship winning chassis. The main changes are the new front and rear drive axle mounting blocks which have been put on a diet, while attached to those blocks are new composite lower wishbone mounting brackets which replace the current aluminium versions. Due to the reduced materials used in the areas, an updated chassis sporting additional mounting points for the blocks help increase stiffness. Up front the car also has a new spool and beefier front drive shafts.

Smokem Mi4 Upper Link plate

Smokem Mi4 Upper Link plate

Developed with leading local Schumacher drivers, the Smokem Mi4 Upper Link plate provides Schumacher Mi4 racers with additional, longer upper link positions to dial in their cars. By incorporating multiple link positions, racers can alter the length of the upper link without changing the upper link plate. Apart from the standard 39.2mm spacing, there are 2 additional spacings of 31.7mm and 24.2mm. A longer upper link provides greater roll resistance for a given spring rate and less camber rise. The design is also ideal when running harder carcass control tyres by maximizing tyre contact patch and maintaining consistent tyre wear.

Schumacher CAT SX steel idler gear upgrade

Schumacher CAT SX steel idler gear upgrade

Schumacher have announced the the release of this new steel idler gear upgrade for the CAT SX & SX2. Providing longer life than the original plastic CNC gears, with more running between rebuilds, there is now also a larger range of gearing options, especially helpful for stock racing. The slipper now locates on the spur side and has easier access than before. The arrangement is sold as standard with 33T and 22T, slightly different than the kit standard 33T/23T, therefore gear ratios should be adjusted accordingly. 31T/24T, 32T/23T, 34T/21T & 35T/20T are also mountable with the use of industry standard 48dp gears.
