Shepherd have announced the signing of top Australian racer Ric Bartolozzi to their team. Ric is one of Australia’s most successful drivers, winning several 1/8th national titles, State Championships in both 1/8th and 1/10th scale classes, and he also is a triple World Championship semi-finalist. Ric joins a very strong and growing Shepherd Australia team, which will see him compete at most major events in 2018.

Shepherd have announced the signing of current UK Champion Tim Wood to their 1/8th on-road team. The former Serpent UK driver will be working closely with the Shepherd factory team at selected European races such as the ENS, EFRA GP and Euros whilst also representing Shepherd at the UK Nationals. A 5-times UK National Champion, Multiple Euro B finalist, and Euro A semi-finalist in 1/8th and 1/10th classes as well as 5th Place pre-worlds finisher, Tim will campaign the latest Velox V8 WC Team Edition at all races in 2018. German company Shepherd have introduced their new Velox V10 WC2018 1/10th 200mm nitro on-road kit. Based on the successful Velox V10 WC platform the latest car kit has been developed in close cooperation with Shepherd’s team drivers as well as club level racers from all over the world. The kit includes all of the new parts that were already successfully used at the European Championship, the Euro Nitro Series and many other races around the world in order to create an easy to drive, reliable, efficient and easy to work on car.
Available now from Shepherd is the Velox V8 WC Team Edition 1/8th nitro on-road kit. The car is based off of the Simon Kurzbuch Edition kit and features all parts used by Simon Kurzbuch and Lars Hoppe at this year’s IFMAR World Championship in France that ended with an A-main appearance for Lars and the vice-championship title for Simon. The Team Edition kit includes a range of aluminium options to scrub rotation mass and add stability while brass weights help to lower the overall centre of gravity. A range of titanium parts further reduces weight and hard front suspension plastics help with drivability in high-grip track conditions. Shepherd have introduced their new grey colour button-down long sleeve shirt. It is made from 100 percent cotton twill and available in adult S to 4XL sizes, sporting the classic Shepherd logo on the back and a smaller World Champions logo on the front pocket.
Shepherd have introduced the next evolution step of their successful Velox F1 platform. The Velox F1 2018 features a new battery mount system that utilises a new carbon fibre battery brace and upper plate that accommodates a rubber O-ring to secure the battery pack while also shifting the pack about 2.6mm towards the rear for increased traction and easier handling characteristics. To further improve the Velox Revolutionary Shock System the latest evolution of floating pistons is also included in the kit from now on. With the help of an additional O-ring the new floating piston completely prevents any possible tilt of the piston inside the shock absorber resulting in a fully leak-free and easy to adjust operation.
Shepherd have introduced their new aluminium downstop limiters for the Velox V8 WC and Simon Kurzbuch Edition 1/8th scale kits. Made from high-grade 7075-T6 alloy the parts allow a more accurate droop setting because of the more rigid material. Thanks to a redesign the downstops also use less parts which results in improved durability and a more direct feedback. The limiters are available in blue or black anodising.

It utilises a new carbon fibre battery brace/upper plate that accommodates a rubber O-ring to secure the battery pack while also shifting the pack about 2.6mm towards the rear for increased traction in lower grip conditions. Included in the set is also a redesigned shock plate with all parts being available separately for spares and repair.
