Shepherd Velox V8WC to V8.2 conversion kit

Shepherd have announced the release of a conversion kit that allows to update the Velox V8 WC to latest Velox V8.2 specification. The set includes all necessary parts such as the aerospace 7075-T6 aluminium main chassis plate, aluminium bulkheads and arm mounts, hard-coated aluminium wheel axles, the flex carbon radio plate, lower arms, uprights, the smaller servo saver, aluminium anti-roll bar bushings and more. The set is available in blue and black anodising colour from now on.

Shepherd Velox V10 advanced weight system

Following the release of the advanced weight system for the Velox V8.2 Shepherd now also introduce a version for the Velox V10. A prototype has already showed its performance in the hands of Patrick Nähr who claimed his first ENS victory at the season final in Ettlingen. The set is a direct replacement for the regular or brass battery mount and is suitable for battery packs with a maximum footprint of 15x32x85. It includes a 7075-T6 aluminium tray, two 18g balancing weights, a composite battery-brace as well as all necessary mounting hardware. The 18g weights are equipped with additional countersunk holes making it possible to stack weights if needed. Without stacking a total of five weights can be installed. To install the battery pack two holes need to be drilled in existing radio plates while all future batches will feature the mounting holes out of the box. The set as well as all individual items will be available from next week on.

Shepherd Velox V8.2 advanced weight system

Shepherd have announced the release of their advanced weight system for the Velox V8.2 1/8th on-road kit. This set of optionals has already shown its potential at this year‘s World Championship and it is a direct replacement for the regular or brass battery mount. Included in the set are an aluminium tray made of high-quality 7075-T6 aluminium, two 18g balancing weights, a high quality carbon brace for the battery and all necessary mounting hardware. The needed mounting positions for the battery have been included in the radio plate of the Velox V8.2 so no DIY drilling is needed. The 18g weights are equipped with additional countersunk holes, making it possible to stack the weights if needed, with a total of five weights can be used in the aluminium tray. The set as well as all individual items are available from now on.

Shepherd Velox V8.2 narrow front shock tower

Shepherd have announced the release of a new option part for their Velox V8.2 1/8th on-road kit in the form of a narrow front shock tower. The narrow version of the standard front shock tower allows more options for the shock angle. Especially when changing the lower wishbone position to the inner one it is now possible to keep the shocks in the same angle. The part is machined from German high-quality carbon fibre and available from now on.

Shepherd Velox V8.2 carbon chassis aero kit

Shepherd have announced the release of their new carbon aero kit for the chassis of their popular Velox V8.2 1/8th nitro on-road kit. The set was developed to reduce turbulences under the car, with the slicker surface making for higher top speeds. Two inserts are included in the set, a small one which is fixed with one centre screw and a longer one for the front chassis cut-out which is fixed using two screws that also allow to fine-tune the flex characteristic of the front end. The German-made carbon design set is available from now on.

Shepherd Velox V8 series upright inserts

Available now from Shepherd are new composite upright inserts for the Velox V8 and V8.2 1/8th on-road cars. The inserts are coming in eccentric and centred variants to have the additional possibility to use smaller ball bearings for significant weight-saving reasons. Compared to the previous aluminium inserts, these composite option parts are characterised by an optimised fit, a lower weight and a better durability. They are available as a set of four centric and four eccentric inserts or as a set including eight 12x18x4mm ball bearings.

Shepherd V8.2 carbon aero discs

Coming from Team Shepherd and made for their new Velox V8.2 are these new carbon aero discs. Made from high-quality German carbon material they are sold as a pair for the front or the rear upright. The aero discs for the front feature an elliptical shape, so when using the optional eccentric inserts the aero discs keep sufficient distance to the inside of the rim. Reports from our team drivers confirm an increased feeling and sensitivity in fast corners.

Shepherd Velox V8.2 M0.8 spur gears

Shepherd have announced the release of their new 0.8 module spur gears for the Velox V8.2 1/8th on-road kit. They feature a completely re-designed shape for maximum stability and true running while keeping the weight in the same range as the previous gears. The spur gears are available in 60T, 61T and 62T variants for the 1st gear while the 2nd gear is available as 56T, 57T and 58T variants. Furthermore the new spur gears will be included in all future batches of the V8.2 car kits.
