Associated RC8T Factory Team Championship Edition

After TQ’ing all four rounds of qualifying, Team Associated’s RC8T Factory Team kit took first place at the 2009 ROAR Nationals. Driven by Ryan Maifield and powered by the Reedy 121VR .21 competition engine, the RC8T performed as it was designed to and brought home the big win. Inspired by this achievement, Associated have introduced the RC8T Factory Team Championship Edition Kit. This kit has added many new features to the original RC8T that make it an even more potent race machine. Improved strength, durability, rough track handling and overall performance are all qualities built into the RC8T CE making it the most competitive Team Associated truggy to date.

Associated TC5 Factory Team LiPo battery retainer

From Team Associated for the TC5, TC5R, and TC5F, the Factory Team LiPo battery retainer has been CNC machined from 2.5mm woven carbon fibre and attaches to either the 2.5mm standard or 2.0mm ITF chassis using the existing battery post holes with the supplied hardware. Designed for use with LiPo batteries that meet ROAR/EFRA specifications, the retainer positions the battery towards the center of the chassis for improved weight distribution and easier access to socket-style battery connectors. The outer shelf of the retainer is sized to accommodate lead ballast (or similar) for chassis balancing and to bring the car up to the updated minimum weight. With a typical electronics setup, the chassis can be equally balanced left to right while achieving the minimum weight requirement. Additionally, the inboard battery position allows the inner ESC power wire to be inserted and removed with no interference or risk of a short circuit.

Associated RC8T Factory Team LE Kit

Team Associated have announced a Limited Edition version of their RC8T Factory Team truggy. In a limited quantity the Factory Team kit will be supplied with many of the Factory Team option parts that Ryan Maifield used on his truck to capture the 2009 ROAR 1:8 Scale Truck National Championships valued at $146.

Associated SC10 Carbon Fibre Battery Strap

Team Associated have introduced the Factory Team SC10 carbon fibre battery strap. This lightweight strap replaces the plastic battery strap to increase battery placement options, with the battery now able to be mounted as far back as the rear shock tower while maintaining the SC10’s innovative quick-release battery feature. As an added bonus, the first 1000 will be produced in eye-catching blue carbon fibre.

ST Racing Concepts 17mm hex conversion kit

ST Racing Concepts have released this new 17mm hex conversion kit that allows Associated SC10 short course truck owners to put on high-traction 1/8th scale buggy tires for increased performance and wider range of tire selection. Each piece of 17mm hex adapters is machined out of high-quality aluminium, and using a unique set-screw behind drive pin design, you’ll never have to worry about loosing a drive pin. The rear 17mm hex are offset slightly wider to provide the SC10 truck with more stability in the rear. Available in Blue, Red and Silver.

Factory Team Bleeder Shock Caps

New from Factory Team are these new bleeder shock caps, a cure for emulsion style (non-bladder) shocks that have been plagued by difficult bleeding procedures since their inception. Consumers, from beginner to pro level, have dealt first hand with the difficulty and mess that these shocks can create. Team Associated has addressed these concerns by creating Factory Team Bleeder Shock Caps to simplify the bleeding process.

JConcepts Illuzion SC10 over tray

When racing on a loamy or top soil track surface the inside of the SC10 chassis can become loaded with dirt or debris which creates extra weight. With the JConcepts over-tray these worries are minimized with the simple and functional over-tray. Fitting nicely under the body, it hugs the outside dimension of the SC10 chassis protecting the inside from unwanted excess dirt and debris build-up during racing conditions. The over-tray is snug around the entire chassis structure while being attached in the rear with blue anodized thumbscrews and a slide-in fit in the front for easy access. The over-tray is built with extra height and rake to provide extra room for various electrical and battery configurations.

AKA SC10 1/8th Wheel adapters

For those looking for better handling from their SC10, AKA have expanded their line up of 1:8 wheel adapters to now include the Associated SC10 truck that allow you to mount regular buggy wheels to your truck. Made from 7075 aluminum and hard anodized, they are supplied with all the necessary fasteners to mount them and include AKA “SureGrip” 17mm nuts, which are also available to buy separately, to keep the wheels securely on the hubs. The wheel nuts are made from 7075 aluminium and also feature hard anodizing plus a knurled rear face to grab the plastic of the wheel and stay put. The adapters install in just minutes and require zero modifications to the truck and the stock width and steering radius are kept in tact. All popular 1:8 buggy wheels can be used including Associated SC8 wheels.
