Olly Jeffries joins Team Associated

CML Distribution have confirmed that 1/10th scale touring car ace Olly Jeffries has left Hot Bodies & Mirage Racing and has returned to his roots by signing for Associated & CML. Olly will campaign the TC5R throughout the winter of 2008 and summer 2009 and having tested the car he felt immediately that he was making the right choice and will join current drivers Alan Bickerstaff, Andy Robson and Steve Lander. With European Associated representative Craig Drescher stepping away from the Touring scene, the time was right for Olly to come back and lead the team into 2009.

Associated BB Shocks & Clutch shoes

Associated RC8/T BB Shocks & Clutch shoes

Team Associated have announced the release of some new parts for the RC8 and RC8T. Starting with these big bore shocks, they are available for both the front and rear of the car and come with hard anodized, threaded 16mm aluminum shock bodies. Extra-large shock bladders allow full volume compensation, while together with the heavy-duty 4mm stainless steel shafts the shocks provide increased stability in rough sections as well as providing softer landings on big jumps. Also new are some handy tools which will make your 16mm Big Bore shock adjustments a snap. Finally for both cars are these new clutch shoes made from durable and hard 2024 alloy that claim to extend the life of your clutch. The harder material will last longer between rebuilds and maintenance, which equates to more time on the track.

RT Symbio Associated RC8 body

Newly available from Reckward Tuning is the RT Symbio suitable for the Team Associated RC8 buggy. Designed by Daniel Reckward, this unique looking body shell will allow you to use all conventional performance air filters available today on the market. Supplied with Symbio decals and window masks, the shell has been made from 1mm thick high quality polycarbonate.

Associated SC8 Short Course Race Truck

Team Associated have officially announced the SC8, the first 1:8 scale, nitro 4WD offroad, authentic race truck replicas. Each SC8 comes decked out with one of four fully licensed race truck bodies, wheels and tires, designed to look just like the full size race trucks that run in short course off road series around the country. The world of high-performance R/C has never before seen this level of scale accuracy. Starting with the championship winning RC8T truggy platform, the SC8 was designed to meet the scale specifications of the full size short course race trucks. Mike Blackstock rejoins Team Associated

Team Associated have announced the return of multiple National Champion Mike Blackstock to its Worldwide race team. After a 2 year hiatus from the Team, Mike returns to join his new on road team mates including Juho Levanen, Keven Hebert, Rick Hohwart and Craig Drescher. In 1/10th scale touring Car, Mike will be utilizing the newly released Factory Team TC5F and TC5R, while in 1/12th scale pan car he will drive the brand-new 12R5 as well as the 10R5 in 1/10th World GT. With over 10 National titles to his credit and multiple “A” main finishes at the IFMAR World Championships, Mike is looking to put his new Associated vehicles on the podium at the upcoming International Indoor Championships, that takes place in Las Vegas in August.

New from JConcepts is this Illuzion B44 Scoopless body which has gone radical and now sports a new low profile appearance. This new shell has been dressed with a newly designed cab which incorporates a noticeably missing cab scoop, while the styling presents a smooth yet detailed design, incorporating many of the features from the original BJ4 Worlds Edition and B44 Hi-Flow body. Race inspired aggressive styling, Illuzionized cab and durable design are just some of the features that make up the new Illuzion B44 Scoopless body. Associated Factory Team RC10R5 Kit

The new Factory Team RC10R5 is Team Associated’s entry into the fast-growing 1:10 scale World GT onroad racing class. With Team Associated’s twenty-five years of 1:12 and 1:10 scale onroad racing history, we are very excited to offer the Factory Team RC10R5 to this new emerging class. Starting with the highly successful RC12R5 platform, the designers in Area-51 built the bigger RC10R5 on a 2.5mm woven carbon fiber chassis that utilizes a pivot-ball link rear suspension that allows for independent adjustments for chassis roll, bump and alignment. Having the ability to make these chassis adjustments independently gives the RC10R5 greater potential to get the best possible handling from the car and the track surface. While testing, the pivot ball-link chassis has proven to be more durable in high speed impacts and much better in bumpy track conditions.
