Team Associated have released 2 new products under their Factory Team brand, the first being for the GT2 FT and GT2 RTR and the other being for the RC8. Designed for the GT2, the new black Factory Team Smoothy Muffler’s extra long design provides better top end performance and smoother power delivery for the most drivable 1/10 scale off-road power band. A black rear exhaust manifold is also available. New for the RC8 is a Factory Team Skid Plate, that protects the chassis of your RC8FT and RC8RS RTR from scratches and scuffs.

Associated RC8 Braces & Factory team pipes

Team Associated have released a number of new parts for gas off road racers, including new exhaust systems and parts for the RC8. First up is the Factory Team 1/8 scale muffler, which features a 3-chamber design that provides a great combination between bottom end punch and top end performance and is available in both polished and non stick, easy to clean, black. Associated also offer a new off road manifold which is available only in non stick black. For the company’s RC8 buggy, there is a front and rear chassis brace that helps increase chassis stiffness, a great tuning option for high grip conditions where you want to reduce chassis flex. Includes nylon locking insert for added security.

Trinity RC8 Aluminium Upgrades

Trinity have announced the release of a number of new Billet Aluminum hop-ups or the Team Associated RC8. Included in the range a new center bulkhead top plate, steering rack and not pictured, a new front and rear shock tower. All parts have been precision machined from aircraft grade aluminum and hard anodised for more strength and super close tolerances.

Team Associated RC12L5 prototype

Team Associated 12L5 prototype

RC50.com are in Cleveland at the moment for the US Indoor Champs and have managed to bag themselves the exclusive first photos of the prototype RC12L5 from Team Associated. Featuring lots of one off parts, including a completely new front end, central shock absorber as well as new carbon and aluminium parts, it seems that this car is completely new. The rear end is now very different looking much stiffer than the RC12L4 and with space for a BL motor, while the T-bar configured chassis sports a single laterally mounted centre damper, in addition to the conventional inline shock absorber. The cells also now sit in line with the direction of the car, while there is so much new on the front end it is hard to pinpoint exactly what is different.

JConcepts Illuzion RC8 body

JConcepts have released their Illuzion body for the Associated RC8 1/8th scale buggy that features ‘Scoopless’ styling which creates a smooth yet detailed design. Race inspired aggressive styling, Illuzionized cab and durable design are just some of the features that make the new Illuzion RC8 body stand out from the rest. Made from heavy-duty thickness polycarbonate with protective film, the body is supplied window masks and detailed Illuzion decal sheet.

Team Associated RC8RS “Race Spec” RTR

Team Associated have released information on the RC8RS “Race Spec” RTR, which has been based on the Factory Team RC8, making for the only 1/8 buggy with the high performance qualities that can live up to Team Associated’s toughest standards. The RC8RS is a winner right out of the box and is pure Associated, having been designed for the highest level of performance and off-road fun, with more suspension travel than any other buggy in its class. Designed to take all of the punishment and abuse that a competitive 1/8th scale buggy will face, but to meet those challenges without breaking a sweat, in a convenient ready-to-run package.

Xtreme Motor mounts and bodyshells

US based company Xtreme Carbon have released some non carbon fibre parts in the shape of engine mounts and bodyshells. First up are the quick change motor mounts available for both the Associated RC8 and Mugen MBX-5 that have been made from blue anodised aluminium and allow the quick and easy removal, and remounting, of the cars engine, through the use of 2 piece mounts with guiding pins that ensure the gear mesh is maintained. Xtreme have also released 2 new low profile truck shells for the Losi 8ight-T and the Kyosho ST-RR that are made from 0.050 thick lexan that offer great performance and good looks.

JConcepts Illuzion B44 “Hi-Flow” body

JConcepts have released the Illuzion B44 “Hi-flow” body which has been designed specifically for the Team Associated B44 4wd buggy. Hi-Flow styling presents a flowing design while incorporating many radical scoop outlets for additional air flow for speed control and motor cooling. Race inspired aggressive styling, Illuzionized cab and upper scoop combined with the durable flowing design of the side pod scoops are just some of the features that make the new Illuzion “Hi-flow” body stand apart from the rest. Made from heavy-duty thickness polycarbonate with protective film, the body is supplied with two 6” rear V-wings as well as window masks and detailed Illuzion decal sheet.
