Team Associated release new B6.1 teaser image

Following a couple of first teaser images Team Associated have released an even better view on what is understood to be the forthcoming B6.1 1/10th 2WD buggy. The front end is taken over from the previous B6 – and sports an aluminium bulkhead – with the rear end being mostly new, including rear A-arms, uprights and also the gearbox that will feature a “reverse” design with the top shaft having the slipper adjustment nut sitting on the opposite side of the main gear – pretty much a design as it was used on Team Durango’s DEX210 series of vehicles. Also visible is a neat front tower screw and edge protector as it is mandatory on many indoor carpet tracks nowadays. With the curtain now pretty much fallen, we expect the full kit release very soon. Update: In the meantime Team Associated have released more images of the forthcoming buggy. You can see them after the break.

Team Associated tease possible B6.1 2WD buggy

Team Associated have release a first teaser image of what could be the follow-up model to the popular B6 platform. With 2017 being an IFMAR 1/10th Buggy World Championship year many have already awaited a first vital sign of a B6.1 or even a B7 and now AE have started to unveil the latest incarnation of the legendary RC10 platform step by step as they did with the previous platforms. While the front end of the new buggy remains unchanged, Team Associated hint on a larger rear end revamp, stating “We love the front end of the B6, refined, simple, and incredibly adjustable, but for the rear end, we had some big plans! Some even questioned whether it could be done…so the engineers within #Area51 got to work. The result: Easier to work on Increased adjustability (more on this later) More consistent feel on track and MORE!”. The eagle-eyed of us would get a first taste of the changes to come when looking at Dustin Evans’ Reedy Race winning B6 that was equipped with new rear A-arms that feature inserts to adjust the lower shock angle. We bring you more updates on the buggy as soon as they become available.

JConcepts re-release the T4.3 Finnisher body

JConcepts is bringing back the Finnisher style stadium truck body shell for the T4.3 Qualifier Series vehicle by Team Associated. The body has been updated to include pre-dimpled locations for the body mounts and the the slight cab forward, raked windshield and aggressive stance highlight a performance oriented core. A revised front hood scoop allows plenty of clearance for the unique geometry while smoothing out the front down force area. Front chin spoiler, headlight and grill protect the front-end from unwanted up-drafts during flight while the supplied decals stand-out like an 18 wheeler. The body comes clear, including window masks and decal sheet and it fits the T4.3 and T4.1 trucks but, from what is understood, not the T4.2 due to the truck’s different front suspension setup.

JConcepts B6-series P2 buggy body shell

JConcepts have introduced their new Punisher 2 body shell for the Team Associated B6 and B6D buggies. The lid made its debut during the 2017 IFMAR World Championships with Ryan Cavalieri taking a strong 2nd place finish and it separates itself from the rest of the bodies on the market with its distinctive styling. The S2 and F2 body designs have created their own path of success on dirt, carpet and Astroturf with class leading success, now, the P2, will carve its own. The body features a raised nose/hood, taller cab and rear-end force features. The side-pods are once again JC chamfered to provide that legendary look and the secondary window screams JConcepts styling. The cab drops off quickly and runs deep toward the rear giving plenty of drift to the newly added winglets. The tall, rear fin stabiliser acts as a vane to keep the buggy tracking in the proper direction while also maintaining a rigid roofline even with lightweight materials. The package, including a standard or lightweight body shell, arrives complete with two Aero S-type wings used by Ryan Maifield to claim the 2017 IFMAR World Championship. The extended rear gurney lip allows for tuning more grip on the loose surfaces while running with the latest generation in off-road.
