RDRP Precision Spur Gears R2 for AE, Yokomo & VBC

Following a dedicated line of Precision Spur Gears for the Team Durango DEX line of buggies Revolution Design Racing Products now introduce the Precision Spur Gears R2 for the use with Team Associated, Yokomo and VBC 1/10th scale off-road vehicles. Coming in the wide Revolution2 design the gears offer a high durability when using low-turn modified motors while offering exceptional efficiency for stock spec classes too. All gears feature machined venting and weight reducing holes to minimise heat build-up when running a soft slipper setting and they come with engraved size markings for easy identification. The gears are available as stock racing 72T and 78T variant and as modified racing 83T and 87T gears.

T-Works spring steel spool cups

T-Works have spring steel spool cups for a range of 1/10th touring cars available. They are made from the same hardened steel material as their tool tips and the parts are available for the Xray T2, T3 and T4 line, the CSO One, Spec-R R1 and S1 as well as the Team C TC10 and the VBC D06 and D07 cars.

VBC Racing FireboltRM 2WD rear motor buggy

VBC Racing have released first images and information on the forthcoming FireboltRM 2WD rear motor off-road buggy. Based off of the mid motor FireboltDM buggy the rear motor variant sports several performance enhancing improvements that also help with easier maintenance. Building on a lightweight 7075 aluminium chassis the buggy features 12mm big bore shock absorbers, a flex adjustment graphite upper deck, full carbon fibre front and rear shock towers as well as improved V2 composite parts. The transmission is a 3-gear affair, also made up from V2 composite parts and gears. The buggy accepts a range of battery configurations including stick, inline and transversal shorty as well as saddle packs, and the kit is rounded out by a high-torque ball differential, a low-profile bodyshell and a high-downforce wing. The kit will become availably by mid-July.

F1shop24 LightningF carbon fibre set

New from F1shop24 in collaboration with Italian RC and made for the VBC Racing LightningF is an optional main chassis, lower pod and upper plate set. Machined from 3mm high-quality carbon fibre the chassis offers higher rigidity than the stock carbon fibre chassis, making it especially useful on high to medium-bite surfaces while allowing to place the battery in an inline or transverse position. The chassis plate also utilises a shorter wheelbase compared to the stock chassis which allows for a more agile handling and higher corner speeds. The chassis was successfully tested by Olivier Bultynck at the ETS round in Luxembourg were he was able to win the Formula class. For the use on low-grip tracks there is a 2.5mm variant available also.

Soeren Boy Holst joins VBC Racing

VBC Racing have announced the signing of Danish front runner Soeren Boy Holst to their team. The multiple National and former Tamiya European and World Champion will use the company’s Ghost Evo Carbon touring car kit in his upcoming campaign that starts with the second round of the Danish Championship in mid-June. The former T.O.P. Racing driver has the following to say about the deal:

I would like to say thanks a lot to T.O.P. Racing for the big support in the past four and a half years. Now it’s time for new challenges, and I am very happy to join VBC Racing. The quality of their cars is really high, with lots of nice technical features that makes the cars very competitive, and I can’t wait to try my new ride on the tracks. My aim is to continue the good results, give good feedback to VBC and off course to help other VBC drivers with setup and tips. See You at the tracks!

VBC Lighting10 LM 1/10th pan car kit

VBC Racing introduce the Lightning10 LM 1/10th scale pan car kit. Based off of the design of the Lighting10 200mm WGT car the LM features durable fibreglass chassis and suspension components, lightweight 7075 aluminium parts and it accepts all standard 1/10th pan car tyres. The front end is highly adjustable in terms of caster, reactive caster, camber and toe settings while the rear end is equipped with a large volume centre shock absorber and dual roll dampers. Included with the kit comes a realistic endurance car bodyshell and BSR spec racing foam tyres.

New VBC Racing Firebolt & Wildfire option parts

VBC Racing have new option parts for the Firebolt 2WD buggy and the Wildfire D07 touring car available. Starting with the Firebolt, available soon is a CNC-machined extreme lightweight aluminium motor plate as part of the company’s Dynamic range of option parts. Cut from 7075 material and coming red anodised and with extensive machining the part is 4.5g lighter than the stock unit, weighing it at only 16g, and it makes for improved motor cooling and looks without sacrificing stability. On top of that does additional machining make for more clearance towards the chassis and thus helps with undisturbed chassis flex and overall grip.

VBC GhostEvo camber link adjuster

New from VBC Racing and made for the GhostEvo touring car are aluminium camber link adjusters. The brackets are mounted to the upper bulkheads using flathead screws while the camber link length and thus the camber gain characteristics and roll centre are adjustable using different thickness shims to finely adjust the space between the bulkhead and the bracket. The adjusters are made from aluminium, they come red anodised, in sets of two and including mounting hardware.
