T-Works XB4’17/18 front CVD sets

T-Works have introduced two sets of front CV-style driveshafts for the Xray XB4’18 and ’17 buggies. Available as standard or special “left thread” set, the driveshafts are made form high-quality steel for durability while the machined wheel axle shafts ensure a good bearing fit. The sets are direct replacements with the left thread set, utilising a single left thread wheel axle, being made to reduce the chance of loosing the wheel nut as it will self-lock during use.

Fenix X12’18 aluminium & carbon fibre options

Fenix Racing have introduced a range of aluminium and carbon fibre option parts for the Xray X12’18 pan car. First up is a slim aluminium main chassis that is narrower than the standard part for reduced chassis scrub during cornering. In addition the removal of the front ride height shims is now also simplified thanks to machined holes under the front suspension. Another new part is the open design motor pod made from aluminium. The part was developed for the use with the optional upper nerf bar that is available in aluminium or carbon fibre. Last but not least is a specially designed O-ring battery mount that holds the battery pack in a transversal position while allowing for easier battery removal. Thanks to its updated design the link and pivot screws are much easier to access for less stress in the pits and the part comes in aluminium or carbon fibre which allows to slightly influence overall chassis flex.

Rusti Design XB4 carbon fibre option parts

French brand Rusti Design has introduced a range of carbon fibre option parts for the Xray XB4 buggy. Currently available are 4mm front and rear shock towers as well as a 0.8mm carbon fibre rear wing stiffener. The shock towers use the same geometry as the stock parts, however they are of an updated design to make them stand out. Xray XB8E 2018 1/8th E-buggy kit

Coming very soon from Xray is the XB8E 2018 1/8th electric buggy kit. The latest edition of the popular buggy received some subtle updates such as a redesigned chassis that offers more clearance between the front wheels and side guards for less on-power tyre rubbing while chamfered front edges make for less dirt pick-up. The chassis is the same as found in the XB8 2018 kit, making most parts interchangeable. Other new features target the rear end of the buggy, such as a new rear shock tower with added shock mounting positions, a new 40 percent lighter wing mount, a new rear chassis brace as well as harder rear A-arms. New front and rear CV-style driveshafts increase the overall traction and refinements such as reinforced steering ball joints, new steering ball composite shims and improved diff O-rings further improve the reliability. The kit is rounded out by a highly aerodynamic body shell and it will hit stores very soon.

Vigor RC T4 adjustable battery mount

Vigor RC have introduced an adjustable battery mount for the Xray T4 series of electric touring cars. The multi-piece assembly utilises specially designed, eccentric inserts that can be turned around to place the battery pack in a front or rear position as well as in a more inward or outward placement. The carbon fibre battery brackets allow to wrap the mounting tape around them to do away with the need to route the tape on the bottom of the chassis for less chances to create a tweaked chassis, and chamfered edges reduce the chance of the battery tape being cut.
