Alexander Hagberg renews with Xray

Xray have announced that long time team driver and 2014 IFMAR 200mm Gas On-road World Champion Alexander Hagberg has extended his contract for 2015. Alexander has been with Xray since “ever” and the team cooperation has been successful over the years with Alex being a great supporter and member of the development team. The Swede will attend the European 1/10th Electric and Nitro Touring Championships, the 1/12th Euros, the ETS and many other races beside the local Swedish Cup and Nationals in 2015 and he has the following to say:

I have been racing for Xray ever since the start of my international racing career. Over the years we have built a strong and successful relationship which has resulted in 2014 into my best achievements gaining the title of World and European Champion. The titles I have achieved last year have been a culmination of our long term hard and dedicated work and I am more than happy to announce that for 2015 I will continue with Xray team and will do my best to repeat the success also this racing season.

Xray T4 titanium suspension pivot pins

Made for the T4 line of touring cars are new titanium pivot pins from Xray. Hand-ground for the highest possible precision the parts not only scrub some weight compared to the standard steel pins, they also offer a high durability. The shaft are available as inner suspension pivot pins as well as front and rear outer arm pins and they come in sets of two.

Xray RX8 XCA hard-coated aluminium pinions

Xray introduce hard-coated aluminium pinion gears for RX8’s with XCA clutchbell. Cut from tough 7075-T6 aluminium and coming with a hard-coated surface for strength and durability the gears help to fine-tune the gearing of Xray’s 1/8th nitro on-road car. Made on a special gear machine, all pinions feature ultra-precise tooth shaping and ultra-true running for vibration-free operation. A fine internal threading allows for easy installation on standard or lightweight XCA clutchbells and each of the pinions, that are available as 17T to 19T 1st and 22T to 25T 2nd gear variant, comes etched with the tooth number for quick and easy identification.

New Radtec touring car & 1/12th scale options

Radtec have several new aluminium option parts for the Xray T4, the Yokomo BD7 and 1/12th scale pan cars available. First up is a single piece floating servo mount for the 2015 Spec Xray T4. The CNC-machined part is made from 7075-T6 aluminium, it sports a mounting hole for the inner battery stopper and it comes orange anodised to match with the remainder of the car’s alloy parts.

Martin Bayer renews with Xray

Martin Bayer renews with Xray

Xray have announced that European Champion Martin Bayer will continue to race with the Slovakian company in 2015. Martin is an important member of Xray’s off-road R&D team and he will continue to use the company’s 1/10th and 1/8th scale off-road cars in his 2015 campaign that will include the 1/10th Worlds, 1/8th and 1/10th Euros, the EOS, as well as the Czech and German nationals beside other selected events. Martin has the following to say:

After successful racing seasons with [the] Xray team with my first European Champion title 1/10 off-road, winning the German national title and achieving multiple podium finishes at international races including European Championship I did not hesitate at all to extend my contract for 2015. Being part of the development team I now realize how much dedication and effort the entire R&D team puts in their work to make the best cars always better. I am very motivated to continue to help Juraj and the R&D team to make Xray cars this year successful on the tracks & races around the world and will work even harder in the R&D and of course on all the races to provide support to our Xray drivers and customers.

New for the XB4, Xray have released this composite rear chassis plate. Precision-designed, it is used to raise the rear differential and rear suspension for use in medium to high traction conditions. It must be used together with the graphite rear lower brace.

Hiro Seiko lightweight screw kits for Xray X1

Hiro Seiko have introduced two new new lightweight screw kits for the Xray X1. Coming as an all-titanium or mixed aluminium and titanium set, both are made to significantly reduce the weight of the car with the titanium set scrubbing around 11.8g of weight while the mixed set saves around 15.6g.

Xray X12 orange eccentric aluminium bushings

From Xray and made for the X12 and X10 pan cars are orange anodised eccentric aluminium bushings. Coming as pairs and in 0.5mm and 1.0mm configuration the parts are designed to fine-tune the front end track width and they complement the standard 0mm parts.
