I still cannot believe it and I am still dreading that I will wake up and realize that it is only a dream. I have been sitting in the airplane on the way home, and since we leave for the Electric Touring Car European Championship the same day we arrive home, I am writing this latest column for you with still-fresh memories and excitement from the recent 1/10 Nitro Touring World Championship in Texas, USA. I am SO happy, satisfied, and proud that no mere words can describe the feelings

Arriving home from the official warm-up, we quickly produced some final modifications of the chassis and top deck and a few other minor parts. At the last possible weekend before the Worlds we traveled with Martin, Teemu Leino and Alex Hagberg back to the track. Arriving at the track, we joined the other competing factory teams who also took advantage of last-minute testing time; such is the racing level at the real Worlds, only the traction was different.

Xray Column – Warm Warm-ups & Challenging Challenges

Xray Column - Warm ups & Challenging challenges

The 44th installment in the Xray column from Xray owner and chief designer Juraj Hudy is now online. In this months column he talks about pre event testing, something essential for a successful result.

With the EC and WC races coming in the summer there is a lot of duties, work and projects to be finished so everybody is super busy. Of course the deadline for us does not mean the EC and WC races themselves but usually the warm-up races which are organised a few weeks or months before the official event. In the highly-competitive racing world, going to a EC or WC without practicing at an official (or at least private) warm-up is a professional suicide; none of the top teams take such a huge risk.
