Xtreme Mach1 Body Updates

Following the launch of its Mach1 190mm Touring Car body back in June, Italian company Xtreme Aerodynamics has issued an ‘important statement’ regarding new updates to the bodyshell.  The statement reads, ‘Following the release of Mach1, several test have been carried out and some room for improvement has been found, thus leading to a new version of the body that has just been released.  Changes are minimal and related only to rear part: – Removed side support of the wing: allows wing to bend sideway, miming a softer wing behaviour. – Lowered wing support (2mm): optimize flow under the wing and reduce body frontal area. These changes push in the direction of drag reduction and increased corner speed, especially for Stock class.’

Xtreme Mach1 190mm TC body

Xtreme Aerodynamics have shown a first photo of their all new 190mm touring car body, which they are calling the Mach1. The new body sports a much more aggressive front end compared to others on the market with a large front lip and newly shaped wheel arches that allow the airflow to be channeled to the rear of the car which itself has gotten lots of attention with fine details. Bruno Coelho did a video on the new body which best explains the new details and how that translates to on track performance. You can check it out below.

Xtreme Aerodynamics 1/8th onroad rear wing

Following a few iterations on simulation environments and track days for further assessment the new Xtreme Aerodynamics rear wing for 1/8th scale onroad will be soon available on the market. The new wing sees an improved frontal section to provide more downforce with less height, improving driveability and efficiency. Also the edge design has been slightly changed to improve flow on the outside section. Furthermore, different material tests have been carried out to find the best compromise of thickness/stiffness. The new wing can easily replace previous versions as the mounting holes have the same distance apart.
