Yokomo BD7 2015 short suspension arm conversion

Yokomo BD7 2015 short suspension arm conversion

Yokomo introduce the short suspension arm conversion for the World Championship winning BD7 2015. Used at this year’s Worlds by Yokomo’s factory drivers the conversion is now also available for the public and it consists of new 1.5mm shorter suspension arms and wider suspension mounts that retain the standard track width. Using the short arms optimises traction and on-track performance on both asphalt and high-grip carpet surfaces. Available separately for the front and rear of the car the sets include new suspension arms, anti-roll bar mounts as well as split and 1-piece suspension blocks.

Yokomo YRF 001W rear friction tube damper spec kit

Yokomo YRF 001W rear friction tube damper spec kit

The Yokomo YRF Formula 001W competition formula chassis kit has been updated with the new rear friction tube damper system which is based on the same system that has been tried and battle-tested on the R12C3.1 1/12th scale kit. By outfitting the 001W with this type of suspension system the overall weight is reduced and the side-to-side balance has improved, allowing better control and sharper turn manoeuvres. The kit comes with two types of front suspension arms to support both foam and rubber tyres with the wide specification suspension arms are used with foam tyres to achieve higher corner speeds, while the narrow specification suspension arms are used with rubber tyres to make for a more scale appearance.

Yokomo Drift Package DPR & Imadoki Alpha kits

Yokomo Drift Package DPR & Amadoki Alpha kits

Yokomo introduce two new drift car kits in the form of the Drift Package DPR and the Imadoki Alpha. Starting with the Drift Package DPR, the kit offers a new suspension and steering design, with the front-end, the most important aspect in drifting, has been re-engineered to adapt with the front driving style which is becoming popular among today’s drifters. High steering angles can be achieved with the wide-pivot long wiper arm and aluminium upper and lower A-arms. The narrow-scrub type steering block gives a more linear response and the suspension fine-tuning can be made by adjusting the roll centre and camber setting while the precision aluminium motor mount allows low-geared settings.

Marka BD7 floating fan mount & black drive cups

Marka BD7 floating fan mount & black drive cups

Italian company Marka Racing have two new aluminium option parts for the Yokomo BD7 2014 and BD5 available in the form of a floating fan mount and black front spool drive cups. Starting with the fan mount, the CNC-machined 7075 aluminium part offers a special design that minimises the influence on the chassis tweak as only one screw is used to fix the mount to the main chassis plate. The black anodised holder is usable with most of today’s 25mm, 30mm, 35mm and 40mm fans, it weights in at only 2.3g and comes with mounting hardware. The sturdy design allows to mount smaller 25mm and 30mm fans with only one screw to minimise weight gain while larger 35mm and 40mm fans should be fixed with two screws. The part is a direct fit on BD7 2014 and BD5 cars but using the mount on a 2015 spec car requires a mooting hole to be drilled by your own.
