Arena have a new option part for the Yokomo BD7 touring car available in the form of front spool drive cups. The parts are made from spring steel and feature two sets of slots for a lower weight and increased life span. Also new are serrated M4 lock nuts in seven colours. The parts are ideally used as wheel nuts and they come in your choice of seven colours.

Spec-R BD-7 black spool & universal battery mount

Spec-R have a new black colour front spool for Yokomo’s BD-7 touring car as well as a universal velcro battery mount available. Starting with the spool, the part is also available in a blue colour version and it features new ver.2 lightweight hardened steel outdrives for a lowered weight and added rigidity. It sports laser-etched markings and is a direct replacement for the stock spool. Also new is a universal velcro battery mount. Making use of widely adjustable carbon fibre brackets, aluminium mounts and a Spec-R branded hock and loop strap the quick release battery mount should fit a wide range of touring car chassis from different brands.

MR..Roche BD7 aluminium option parts

MR..Roche will soon have a handful of aluminium option parts for the Yokomo BD7 available. Planned so far are a 1-piece floating servo mount, split inner suspension mounts as well as outer 1-piece suspension mounts. The servo mount is a direct replacement for the kit part while the A-arm mounts come in several specifications to allow for a wide range of suspension geometry changes.

PSM B-Max4 III carbon fibre chassis coming soon

PSM soon have another option part for the Yokomo B-Max4 III 4WD buggy available in the form of a carbon fibre main chassis plate. The chassis is designed to replace the standard aluminium part with a trick CF variant that features a direct cooling system for indoor use while a dust cover and fan mount make it also ideal for outdoor races. The chassis is set for a February release with more information available soon.

Spec-R TRF417 & BD-7 Version 2 front spools

Spec-R introduce their version 2 front spool axles for Tamiya TRF417 and the Yokomo BD-7 kits. Both build around an aluminium spool body with the axles now coming with hardened steel outdrives that are of a new design with machined sections for a lower weight while retaining the needed overall rigidity. The TRF417 variant sports a lighter Tamiya blue colour while the BD-7 part is available in darker Yokomo blue.

Lee Martin confirmed at Yokomo

Lee Martin confirmed at Yokomo

Team Yokomo have confirmed the signing of British ace Lee Martin to their international team. The former Tamiya driver has won numerous British National and European titles throughout his career and his vast racing experience and knowledge is certain to help the Japanese company strengthen their off-road racing efforts and product development. Lee’s first race with the team will be at the EOS race in Berlin, and will be joined by his teammates Naoto Matsukura, Ronald Volker, Yannic Prumper, and fellow UK countryman Jack Embling. The team will be using the B-MAX2 2wd and recently released B-MAX4 III 4wd buggies.

PSM BMax4 III shock towers

PSM Racing have released new front and rear shock towers for the Yokomo BMax4 III. The front shock tower is made from high quality 4mm carbon fibre, weighs only 7.5 grams and sports an additional shock position over the stock tower. The rear shock tower is also 4mm thick weighs only 10.5 grams and also has an additional shock position.
