In the build-up of the forthcoming IFMAR 1/10th Electric On-road World Championships Yokomo announce the soon release of the BD7 2015 touring car kit. Building on the World-wide success of the BD7 2014 the Yukijiro Umino designed car will include the team’s latest ideas in touring car design. The 2015 specification kit will be revealed on September 29th with the World’s team aiming to snatch the prestigious World Championship title with the production car from October 6th on.

Arrowmax B-Max2 aluminium battery stopper

Arromax now have this aluminium battery stopper for the Yokomo B-Max2 buggy available. Made from 7075-T6 aluminium and coming blue anodised the part replaces the original plastic stopper when using shorty LiPo battery packs. The unique honeycomb design matched with Arrowmax’ tool and option parts range and reduces the weight to a minimum at the same time.

Arrowmax B-Max2 rear brass bulkhead set

Made for Yokomo’s B-Max2 2WD buggy is this rear brass bulkhead set from Arrowmax. The multi-piece part replaces the stock bulkhead with a heavier and more rigid solution for an improved weight balance and a rock solid rear end. The bulkhead weighs in at 36g, it incorporates a rear swaybar mounting system for high-bite surfaces and it is available now.

New from Arrowmax for the B-Max2 are these blue anodized 7075-T6 aluminium servo mounts. A direct replacement for the kit standard plastic parts, it holds the servo better in place and is much stronger than the original part.

Roche RC have released a new bearing set for the Yokomo BD7-2014. The set contains high quality red seal ceramic bearings for reduced drivetrain drag and higher efficiency and includes four 10x15x4mm, eight 5x10x4mm and three 5x8x2.5mm ball races.

Radtec BD7 ultra lightweight shock spring retainers

Radtec have a new aluminium option part for the Yokomo BD7 touring car available in the form of ultra lightweight shock spring retainers. At a weight of 0.5g per piece the parts are 30 percent lighter than the stock retainers, they are made from 7075-T6 aluminium and come with blue or black anodising to make them suitable for both the standard and black edition chassis.

Simon Nicholson joins Team Yokomo

Simon Nicholson joins Team Yokomo

Yokomo have announced the signing of multiple National and State championship winning Australian racer Simon Nicholson. The former Kyosho driver will compete together with Yokomo at this year’s State championships, Australian National championships and World championships in the USA as well as the TITC in Thailand early next year. He had this to say:

I would like to thank Mitsuo, Chikuba and the rest of the team from Kyosho Japan for all their help and support the last few years. I am very excited to be joining Team Yokomo and many thanks to Robert Itoh, Aso Minoru, Yukijiro Umino and Tom Yokobori for accepting me into the team.
