Spec-R Yokomo & Xray steel diff outdrives

Spec-R have two new sets of optional metal outdrives for Yokomo and Xray gear differentials available. The outdrives are machined from high-quality spring steel, they offer a hardened surface and their design does away with the need to use protective plastic blades, making them ideal when running a front differential. The parts offer super long-life characteristics and come as specific Yokomo and Xray set.

Yokomo BD7-2014 conversion kit

In addition to the recently announced BD7-2014 Yokomo now also introduce a “2014” conversion kit for older spec kits. Included are the upper and lower carbon fibre chassis parts, the newly designed motor mount with integrated layshaft mount, the needed centre pulleys, main gear, as well as updated steering parts along an assortment of hardware to complete the conversion. The kit is available in blue colour only and will hit the stores by the end of the year.

Yokomo YRS Roadster ARTR kit

Yokomo YRS Roadster RTR kit

Coming end of December is Yokomo’s new YRS Roadster 1/12th scale ARTR kit. The vehicle is based around a direct drive 2WD rear motor monocoque chassis with inline battery mount, direct drive steering and adjustable front suspension parts. The platform shares the tyres and wheels with the Yokomo GT series cars and the 340mm long roadster will become available with a red, yellow or green body in a factory assembled almost-ready-to-run form including a brushed 540-size motor. Coming as an option is also a drive set including a 2.4GHz radio system, servo, brushed speed contoller, LiPo battery and suitable charger.

Yokomo B-Max2 MR Ver.2 Factory & World Spec kits

Yokomo soon have two B-Max2 MR limited edition kits available in the form of the MR Ver.2 Factory Kit and the World Spec edition. Starting with the Factory Kit, the buggy includes a vast amount of option parts right out of the box as there are the aluminium main chassis, aluminium rear suspension mounts, aluminium idler gear, aluminium steering bellcranks, aluminium front brace, big bore Type X shock caps and captured universal driveshafts. Also part of the package is a gear differential with steel bevel gears, a dual pad slipper clutch, titanium-nitride coated shock shafts as well as a cab forward body and the Gokuraku rear wing. The second new kit and again a limited edition item is the World Spec kit that is based around the B-Max2 MR Ver.2 and that includes a 1-piece all-aluminium chassis with integrated front kick-up over the standard 2-piece aluminium and plastic part. The kit is specially made for all high traction surfaces such as astro turf and carpet tracks. Both kits will become available around December 2013 and January 2014 worldwide with the World Spec not being sold in Japan.

Yokomo introduce the BD7-2014 touring car kit

Yokomo have introduced the next evolution of their 2013 ETS and EFRA Euros winning BD7 touring car kit. Based on the current kit the 2014 edition will only feature slight revisions of the highly successful design. Part of the new package is a redesigned motor mount for a more centralised motor position and the ability to use larger pinion gears for Stock class racing. Also new are hard anodised aluminium threaded shock bodies. The kit will become available as the standard blue colour scheme chassis and also as a limited edition Black Series kit with black anodised aluminium parts. Yokomo’s Ronald Völker and Yukijiro Umino are set to race the new car at this weekend’s 4th round of the Asia Onroad Championship at the Yatabe Arena with the kits hitting stores around Christmas.

Yeah Racing have new bearing sets for some of the latest 1/1o scale kits available. Coming as standard metal-shielded and optional teflon seal variant the sets includes lightly pre-oiled bearings to significantly reduce the friction in the drive train compared to the greased bearings many kits include. Both variants come with a 15ml bottle of high quality bearing oil for convenient maintenance and best possible performance over a long period of time. The sets are available for the Tamiya TA06, M06, TT02B and XV01, the Yokomo BD7 and BD7 ver.RS as well as the VBC FWD kit.

Davide Ongaro joins Yokomo off-road team

Yokomo announce the addition of Italian 1/8th nitro off-road driver Davide Ongaro to their talented team of factory drivers. Davide TQ’d this year’s European B Championship and ended in 5th place while also achieving a very good result at the Euro A in Reims. This is what Davide has to say about the deal:
