Lucas Westerlund wins at Swedish Off-road Champs Rd1

The opening round of the Swedish 1/8th Off-road Championship was hosted by the Älvsby club this past weekend. Emil Edlund took the overall TQ in pretty challenging weather and track conditions from Hampus Berg in 2nd and Jessica Palsson in 3rd. In the 45-minute A-main event it was Lucas Westerlund (Mugen) who would hold the upper hand from Hampus Berg (HB Racing), who suffered some issues during the first pit stop, but eventually managed to recover to 2nd overall. Agama driver, Jessica Palsson came in 3rd overall after having obtained the 2nd place for some time during the race but got caught by Hampus, finishing five seconds behind.

Martin & Berryman win at Nemo Raceway Race One

The opening race on Nemo Racing’s new Nemo Raceway in Royal Leamington Spa, UK was held this past weekend in Nitro and Electric Off-road classes. The event attracted nearly 60 entries and in Nitro Buggy it was Lee Martin with the overall TQ, tie on points with Neil Cragg as Tommy Hall came in 2rd overall. The E-Buggy class was top qualified by Scott Follington from Sean Berryman in 2nd.

Caldwell, Rose & Henn win at HARC Rd8

Round 8 of the Houston Area RC Series was held at the Gulf Coast Raceway in Porter, Texas this past weekend, attracting nearly 70 entries. In Open Nitro Buggy it was Dillon Caldwell with the TQ and also the overall win in the 20-minute A-main event. Mike Garrett came in 2nd overall, already some three laps back as Tim Bort came in 3rd overall, some 5.5 seconds behind Mike.

Mota & Tolomelli win at One12 Series Rd5

Round 5 of the 2019/2020 One12 Series was hosted by the Jokerteam Bolzano this past weekend. The event was held in 1/12th Open and GT12 classes and in 1/12th Open it was Alessio Mota who would dominate the proceedings with Alessandro Giubbilei coming in 2nd overall. Luca Tassinari would round out the top 3 result. Over in GT12 it was Alessio Tolomelli with the win from Mattia Dall’Oca in 2nd and Guido Carbognani in 3rd overall.

Joseph Johnson wins at StickIt1Racing Mod Series Rd4

The fourth round of the 2020 StickIt1Racing.com “We’re Back Racing” Friday Night Modified Off-Road Series was hosted by PDX RC Underground in Portland, Oregon last Friday. Yokomo privateer Joseph Johnson took an impressive 2WD Modified Buggy win in front of Yokomo USA team manager, Joe Pillars who finished 2nd overall after just losing out the tie-breaker with Joseph Johnson settled by the fastest time with both drivers having three wins. Yokomo USA team driver, Travis Harker finished 3rd overall for a Yokomo podium lock-out.

Kanyarat Kleungsakul wins at Huge Challenge Rd5

Round 5 of the Huge Challenge was held at the Huge RC Circuit in Bangkok, Thailand this past weekend. The event saw the running of a multitude of nitro and electric on-road classes and in Touring 17.5T Non-Boost it was Kanyarat “Grace” Kleungsakul with the TQ and also the overall win. Sakdarat Thanet came in 2nd overall from Sato Atsushi in 3rd. P. Thanate Oil and Oguri Tomoyuki completed the top 5 tie on points.

StickIt1Racing Stock Series Rd4 – Report

Round 4 of the StickIt1Racing Stock Series was held at PDX Underground in Portland, Oregon this week. The event attracted nearly 40 entries and in 13.5T 4WD Buggy it was Sean Pham with the overall win from Jim Meyer in 2nd. John Copeland came in 3rd overall top round out the top 3.

Milanowicz & Ruman win at Polish On-road Nats Rd1

The opening round of the Polish On-Road Nationals was held in Jelcz-Laskowice last weekend. The event saw the running of a multitude of electric and nitro classes and in Touring 17.5T Stock it was Michal Milanowicz with the overall TQ from Tomasz Fryc in 2nd. A1 saw Tomasz taking the win after a couple of mishaps of Michal allowed Tomasz to pass the pole position holder. In A2 Michal was able to hold onto the lead and to bring home the win by a small 0.5 seconds margin from Tomasz in 2nd. So the third and final A-main would bring the decision and ultimately it was Michal who walked away with the win and thus the overall victory with Tomasz Fryc in 2nd and Adrian Lippich in 3rd. After the race Michal became aware that he was using a too small diameter rotor in his motor and after reporting his mistake to the judges in great sportsmanship, it was decided that he was able to keep the win since he couldn’t report himself and he was just reminded to use a legal rotor the next race.
