Xray RX8E’23 1/8th EP onroad chassis

Following last week’s release of the new for 2023 RX8, Xray have today unveiled the EP version of the same car, the RX8E’23. The car is a major update on its predecessor with only a few parts carrying over from the old car. The all new chassis has narrowed front suspension pivots to increase stability & traction, more chassis cutouts to create greater flex in desired locations and additional chassis cutouts to improve engine cooling. Hard composite suspension arms combined with the improved central chassis flex keeps the suspension geometry stable while the flex is transferred through chassis and radio plate to maintain traction. Narrower front suspension holders help improve geometry, while longer lower suspension arm shock mounting holders compensate for the narrower suspension holders to maintain the ideal shock absorber geometry. Lower down-stop mounting holders without the eccentric geometry make the car easier to set suspension down-stops. There is all-new front aluminium bulkheads with a lowered design and new front upper clamps that feature integrated upper shock mounting positions, eliminating the need for a separate front shock tower. An innovative front upper shock mounting directly on the upper clamps adjusted via shims provide more flex on front suspension. A new front upper bulkhead brace for easy flex adjustments. More stability with the brace installed, more traction and steering when the brace is removed. There is an ultra-compact and super lightweight receiver box that moves the weight lower and closer to the centre of the chassis. Plus many more changes that make up the all new RX8E.

Tekno RC NB48 2.1 4wd competition nitro buggy

The Tekno RC NB48 2.0 has remained a customer favourite all over the world over the passed 3 years due to its incredible rough track handling, extreme durability, ease of maintenance, and innovative design features. Tekno RC wanted to take the NB48 platform to the next level, and knew it was time for a major upgrade. In typical Tekno RC fashion, the NB48 2.1 had to offer exceptional value while also including never-before-seen features. Of course, they had to include several already released hop-up items, but we also needed to push 1/8th buggy design to its limits. The team has been testing individual components of the new buggy for quite some time, but on his first outing with the full production NB48 2.1, Jared Tebo was able to place it on the podium at the 2022 Southern Nationals and on its second outing, Jared Wiggins took the win at the 2022 MidAmerica Outdoor Visions race.

Following weeks of teaser images on their social media, Destiny have finally released full information on their all RX-10SR 3.0 touring car. Following the trend of removing the shock towers, the shock absorbers are now mounted to the bulkheads. The front and rear upper arms are made from a moulded composite material which is length adjustable, while the lower arms are carbon fibre plate, with all arms using pivot ball mounting which ensures free movement and extra adjustability. A new single piece design motor mount with Multi-Flex chassis adjustment features adjustable front and rear belt tensioners and battery backstops. The new lower bulkheads install with upper bulkheads with centering pin for a more reliable mounting. All this plus a whole lot of other changes.

ARC A10 competition EP touring car

The A10 is ARC’s latest generation 1/10 electric touring car and it’s ready to hit the track. Built on a completely new platform, the A10 was developed with some key goals in mind – a lower centre of gravity, increased mechanical grip, easy maintenance & setup and full adjustability. The car features a new one-piece upper deck, helping the A10 to be super easy to drive out-of-the-box and suiting a wide range of track conditions. An optional two-piece design is available to independently tune the front and rear flex for racers looking to get the most out of their A10. The new one-piece motor bulkhead caters for both upper deck designs, allowing different flex options via both the chassis and top decks. The bottom of the motor bulkhead now also features a 3mm centre alignment pin to better locate the chassis when less chassis screws are used. This allows extra chassis flex to be dialled in with less likelihood of tweaking. The brand-new lower arms of the A10 are made from 3mm thick, high-quality carbon fibre plate and are stronger and lighter than traditional composite arms. The design of the new lower arms allows the arms to be moved further inboard for an even longer arm than the R12. Back-to-back testing has confirmed this new design to be even easier to drive while achieving greater corner speed.

Carten T410FWD competition 1/10 electric TC kit

The Carten T410FWD competition 1/10 electric touring car kit is based on their T410R touring car but developed for competitive FWD racing. This chassis uses a front motor layout to get the best weight distribution and the shaft drive enables a very low friction drive train. This is supported by ball bearings in every part of the drive. Ball differentials ensure that a perfect set-up is possible for all track conditions.
