Speedzone releases the E-Power 4500 NiMH Cell

Continuing with its expansion of r/c batteries, Speedzone has announce yet another addition, the E-Power 4500, to it’s line of matched cells. Boasting 4500+ mAh at full charge, the E-Power Cell gives the r/c hobbyist and racer another battery option when it comes to capacity and performance. With this addition, Speedzone has now expanded it battery line to include Grepow, E-Power and Intellect, giving their customers a full array of batteries to choose from. Runtime and reliability of the E-Power Cell has been very good and, as with the Grepow Cell, has exceeded Speedzone’s own expectations. It has proven to be a consistent cell with minimal self-discharge. All E-Power matched Cells will be labeled with our standard matching information, including the cells release date, which was first introduced by Speedzone over 2 years ago, in 2005. Cells will be available through the Speedzone website.

Japanese RC parts maker Team Trion have announced the release of these 2 high powered straight pre assembled 6-cell battery packs. Both feature the World Champion Intellect VR-1 cells and there is the option of buying them in either 3800MAh or 4200MAh and all are sold complete with cables and connector.

More 5000MAh batteries coming on the market, this time from Robitronic who have produced this very red looking 7.4V pack. The same size as a sub-c battery pack means it can be used in a touring car and a lot of EP buggies. Weighing in at 265grams, this battery is supplied with power cables as well as a power plug and a balancer port.

More battery news, this time from Japanese brand Velocity Racing who have released this new 5000MAh LiPo pack. The 2 internal cells have been encased in a hard resin and for connecting the battery to your cars electronics the pack features 2 sockets on one end for easy connection. As with all LiPo’s they feature a low internal resistance, give lots of power and this pack is around 60% of the weight of a comparable NiMh Sub-C6 cell type pack.

Reedy have released these new VMX R-42 matched team cells which have been optimised using high-tech equipment designed in house to apply an intense energy pulse to new IB4200 WC edition NiMH cells, with the end results of this exclusive process being reduced internal resistance, increased voltage output, and more power. These enhanced cells are cycled, then power-matched using a 35-amp discharge, a process which eliminates weak cells and those that do not fall within the exclusive percentage that are good enough to be hand selected as Reedy VMX Ultra-Output grade. Reedy VMX cells are packaged in a pack of 6 and come in a compact plastic clamshell that provides full view of each cell’s test data.

Japanese company Trion have released this micro miniature one cell LiPo pack for powering your cars cooling fan. Normally one would use the power from their receiver pack or the cars power source to drive the fan which took essential power away from their main purposes so that is why this product was created. This lightweight 200MAh packs is wired in such a way that it is easy to connect into your car and the cell itself contains an overcharge and overdischarge protection system.

Much More have extended their range of general purpose NiMH battery packs with the release of a number of different formats to suit various different requirements. First up are the 7.2V Power Sport packs that come in both 2200MAh and 2800MAh while also released is a Sport Stick pack that is also 7.2V but is 3800MAh. For longer run times Much More have also introduced their 4500 Select 6 Cell pack that can be used in cars as well as starter boxes and other high power applications. Finally from the Korean company are 2 new receiver packs, one 1500MAh 6V flat pack for use in gas on road cars and a Hump configured packo of the same cells for use in off road gas cars.
