LRP FlowX competition brushless speed controller

LRP have officially announced their long-awaited new competition brushless speed controller, the FlowX. Follow-up model to the popular Flow, the all-new ESC (that we exclusively featured back in September) sports an all-aluminium case that comes in a new dark-blue anodising. The power wires are now of an all-black colour as are the flat receiver and switch wires all of which makes for a cool factory team appearance. Also new is the flat power capacitor board that makes for easier mounting. Inside the case the ESC houses new high-end FETs exclusively customised for LRP and a redesigned heavy duty power board with both features allowing for up to 220A constant current. Furthermore the controller features the new V4.1 firmware for easy on-board programming and a heavy-duty standard voltage 6V/6A BEC system. Elangears Elan R AI multi-chemistry DC charger

Elangears have introduced their new Elan R AI multi-chemistry DC charger. Based on the Elan R the AI variant comes with a new Lithium battery scan feature that makes for more convenient and secure battery charging. Before the charge process starts the device runs through a couple of routines, indicating the battery type and voltage to choose the best possible charge program and settings. After user confirmation the charger automatically starts the charging process and adapts the charging values if needed, based on the battery’s parameters such as voltage, current and internal resistance. The system is meant to minimise stress for the battery while still allowing for short charging times. With 100W of charge power the device allows for up to 10A or charge current with 1S to 6S LiPo, LiHV and LiFe batteries and it can also handle 1 to 14-cell NiMH batteries if needed. The charger is housed in a compact 91x120mmx45mm case and it features a backlit 2-lines, 16-characters LC display.
