Performa P1 Radical V5 .21 offroad engine

After over a year of testing, the new Performa V5 Radical .21 offroad engine is here. Sporting a new lighter cooling head for lower centre of gravity and thus better car handling, internally the new combustion chamber increases bottom end torque and mid range power. Other changes is an updated sleeve timing and tune, new CNC piston process for unmatched longevity and DLC coated CRF design with optimised timing. A new high torque backplate helps improved response and mileage and the whole package is completed with a hand selected rear ceramic bearing.

Reds Racing X-One high torque exhaust system

Reds Racing have released a new ‘High Torque’ version of their X-One pipe-header system. The X-One 2143 high torque one-piece offroad tuned exhaust for S Series engines combines Reds 2143 exhaust and the Reds L header to create this one-piece ‘high torque’ exhaust. The X-One system is an innovative all-in-one pipe-header system where the exhaust has been welded to the header to improve performance and fuel consumption. There is no need for springs or gaskets, and the one-piece design creates increased reliability and improved tuning stability. The new exhaust has been designed to further increase torque for those very demanding tracks where sharp corners, high grip and hard to clear jumps can be a problem. Furthermore, the new exhaust is often used in combination with long pinion / spur gear ratios (eg. 14/48) to improve engine drivability in low grip conditions or when it is necessary to improve fuel consumption.

RC-Project The Ring muffler support

The new ‘The Ring’ muffler support from RC-Project is made in Ergal 7075 T6 in Italy and can be mounted on all 1/10 and 1/8 Nitro models and is available in 6 different colours. The muffler support will allow you to have 2 different configurations, fixed or mobile. In fixed mode, in addition to the central fixture of the muffler, 2 additional M3 setscrews can be added to secure the muffler fixing with the spring and avoid unpleasant problems due to the setscrew coming loose and the muffler coming away from the spring. In mobile mode it will be possible to eliminate the central fixture of the muffler and leave only the 2 setscrews. In this mode the muffler will have the freedom to be able to move inside the support, which will help the free movement of it according to the bending of the chassis. Inside the space between the muffler and the support you can insert O-rings or a silicone tube to dampen the movement. The spring made of harmonic steel, has a length that adapts to all models and it can be shortened and bent according to your needs.

Nuclear ASM Type6 .21 on-road engine

Japanese brand Nuclear have released the Type6 version of their ASM 3.5cc nitro onroad engine. An evolution of their Type5 motor, all the changes on this new motor are internal, such as the surface treatment of the piston to further reduce friction and improve the durability. The sleeve, conrod, piston connecting pin and backplate have also received this coating, which together with the newly shaped 9mm venturi, also helps to improve throttle response. The engine comes with the C1 combustion camber insert and will be available in a 9 or 7 port version.

Reds Racing 721 Superveloce offroad engine

Due to the success of 721 Superveloce Limited edition 3.5cc off-road engine Reds Racing have decided to release a new version of the same engine that will be available for the complete 2021 year, together with 721 Scuderia Gen2 and 721 Corsa engines. The main objective was to develop a super fast engine able to guarantee a good fuel economy. Internally it sports an extra tuned sleeve and crankshaft with special modifications to the sleeve and crankshaft by Mario Rossi which increases engine power noticeably and guarantees good fuel mileage at the same time. The new airboost backplate has been designed for increased mid to high RPM power, increased fuel efficiency and faster return to idle. Different from the Limited edition is the matt black cooling head with a fluorescent red surface reminiscent of the 721 Scuderia design.

Reds Racing 521 GTS engine

Reds Racing have introduce their new generation of nitro GT engines called the 521 GTS. The new engine, available in steel or ceramic bearing versions, features high reliability, tuning stability and great fuel mileage, combined with specific technical changes in the porting and new materials. This 5 port engine claims to offer higher power and better fuel efficiency compared to other engines. The S line features a new and unique high stiffness crankcase design and uses all new materials and casting technology. The engine is produced with pressure die casting, which is a very high quality process, while previous generation R line crankcase was with gravity casting. Another big improvement is the brand new aluminium carburettor, again made using pressure die casting. The decision to change carburettor materials from plastic to aluminium further improves idle stability and tuning. The new carburettor is 30° inclined for better fluid dynamics to increase engine power and has an insulator to reduce carburettor temperature and increase idle stability at high temperatures.
