Spec-R TRF417 & BD-7 Version 2 front spools

Spec-R introduce their version 2 front spool axles for Tamiya TRF417 and the Yokomo BD-7 kits. Both build around an aluminium spool body with the axles now coming with hardened steel outdrives that are of a new design with machined sections for a lower weight while retaining the needed overall rigidity. The TRF417 variant sports a lighter Tamiya blue colour while the BD-7 part is available in darker Yokomo blue.

RPM B44 wide front bumper

RPM B44 wide front bumper

RPM soon have this wide front bumper for Team Associated’s B44 line of buggies available. Made from a special nylon compound and sporting a wide design the bumper helps to protect the front end and especially the shock tower and front arms from becoming damaged in the event of a crash. Being 127mm wide and extending forward around 38mm the bumper fits the original B44 as well as the B44.1 and B44.2.

VBC Wildfire 1-piece FR suspension mounts

VBC Racing now have these 1-piece front rear suspension mounting brackets for the Wildfire touring car available. They are designed to replace the stock “split” mounts on the Wildfire and Wildfire D06 kits and help to make the front end of the car more rigid which can be helpful in very high-bite conditions. Available as P00 and P05 variant the brackets are a direct replacement.

Team C TM2 V2 mid motor buggy

Team C Racing introduce the V2 version of their popular 2WD mid motor buggy. The latest incarnation of the buggy, that is purpose-designed for high bite surfaces, features a new rear end that made a first appearance on the TM4 4WD buggy. New aluminium suspension mounts with eccentric plastic inserts make for swift and easy anti-squat and toe-in angle changes and they replace the standard “solid” brackets. All other features such as the 14mm big bore shocks with bleeder caps, the gear differential, rear stabiliser and front aluminium suspension mounts remain unchanged from its predecessor. There is no exact release date yet but it is understood that the kit will hit the stores “very soon”.

Kyosho Ultima 2WD gear differential set

Originally designed for the Ultima SC and DB line of 2WD off-road vehicles, Kyosho’s 2WD gear differential set also fits the RB6 and RT6 as well as the SC-R competition kits. The set includes all needed parts to equip ball differential gearboxes with a gear diff in order to maximize traction on high bite surfaces such as astro turf, carpet and sugared clay.

Shepherd introduce their Premium ball bearing oil which completes their new range of Premium Oils announced a few weeks ago. Together with a leading German oil manufacturer they have developed a completely new formula especially for the higher temperatures in an nitro rc car getting the perfect viscosity on the track. Reducing the friction in the drivetrain it decreases wear and improves the performance and lifetime of the ball bearings.

TLR have announced the 8ight-T 3.0 truggy, this latest version benefiting from the same engineering and expertise that made the 8ight 3.0 buggy a ROAR National Champion. Everything from the suspension geometry to the body and wing design has been refined so it is easier for racers of all skill levels to drive faster and lower lap times. In terms of suspension geometry it has been refined to give racers of all skill levels a neutral handling truggy that is easy to drive fast. 15-degree, non-inclined caster blocks raise the spindle, allowing the vehicle to soak up bumps with less dog bone plunge. Redesigned front arms improve front wheel clearance and increase steering throw. Camber and shock locations on the shock towers are optimized for quick and easy tuning.

Made from Smokem’s own spring steel formula, these claim to be some of the toughest wearing drive cups available on the market today. They are further hard coated to increase durability.
