Associated B44.2 Factory Team parts

Associated have released some new Factory Team parts for the B44.2 buggy. First up is the new graphite battery strap to take the styling to the next level and complements the looks of the other graphite components. The new straps come with stylish blue aluminum countersunk screws for fastening the straps, but aluminum thumbscrews can also be used. Next up is the new graphite center brace which increases chassis torsional stiffness while adding style. The new graphite A & B hub towers are a great replacement for the standard molded towers and provide additional clearance for Factory Team 12mm Big Bore shocks by moving the turnbuckle away from the shocks. Finally there is the aluminium screw kit which is a great way to shave precious grams while also adding some style. This kit does not contain every screw used in the B44.2, only the screws they believe are good candidates for those areas compatible with aluminium’s strength and material.

CRC Xti ‘Altered Ego’ chassis kit

CRC have released an update to their race winning Xti 1/12th scale chassis. For some the car may be a bit too nimble, hence the release of the ‘Altered Ego’ chassis. The Altered Ego has some geometry alterations to mellow the car, making it a bit more stable and providing a more locked feeling to the rear end. Three different pieces make up an Altered Ego, the chassis, the rear lower plate and the rear upper plate. With the Altered Ego parts, the car can be run inline or transverse, however, the geometry alterations do make for a tight fit between the 1S pack and the reversed servo in the inline configuration. In the transverse position, the car has a ton of room to mount electronics and lots of options to move the battery forward and back.
