Sweep Micro Contacts tires

Sweep have introduced their lucky seventh 8th scale off-road tire called, Micro Contacts. This tire was designed to be a bulletproof micro pin style tire delivering a rocket round run in qualifying and still able to last the whole A-main. Featuring a very stable micro pin pattern to sweep the ground with today’s hottest 21 engines. As the name suggests, all of their test drivers commented on how they feel like their car has micro suction cups sticking to the ground. The gluing bead and sidewalls have been redesigned to deliver a precise steering feel, which has never been experienced in the past. Four different compounds are available to suit a large variety of track conditions. The softest compound silver, blue, red and then the hardest compound white. These tires are designed specifically for their own grooved inserts or Cloud 9 closed cell foam inserts.

Kyosho Plazma Ra 1/12 scale chassis

Kyosho Japan have released information on their upcoming Plazma Ra 1/12 scale pan car chassis. Named after the iconic line of Plazma on-road chassis’, the new addition that will hit the stores at the end of December 2011 is a rather conventional affair designed around the common 1S LiPo battery with rear link suspension, side damper tubes and is made for standard US-type wheels. The red anodised aluminium parts are standard as is the oil-filled centre shock absorber.

Elangears droop gauge & blocks

Elangears have announced their new droop gauge and blocks. Available in orange and black it is your standard, if not more stylised and lightweight, gauge featuring measurements from -3mm to 6.5mm in 0.5mm increments. Available as a full set in both colours.

RCXraceR Inside & Outside RC sportswear

RCXraceR is a new Italian sports wear brand dedicated exclusively to the RC Racing world. The project was born from the idea to produce comfortable and cool wear for RC racers. RCXraceR have two aims one ‘Inside the track’ and ‘Outside the track’ with the focus on producing both branded racing clothes as well as casual unbranded RC gear for wearing when you are away from the track. The products will go on sale from the 15th of October. RCXraceR have recently designed the first ‘Inside the track’ collection for Italian team Speed RC who will be wearing them at the 2011 Arena event in Italy.

T.O.P. Rebel 12 left rear hub V2

T.O.P. Racing have released this new version 2 left rear hub for their Rebel 12 1/12th scale chassis. Machined from red anodised aluminium, this new part gives a more balanced rotational mass and truer operation.

Xray T3 2012 spec coming soon

The new 2012 version of the Martin Hudy designed Xray T3 is on its way. Xray have published a list of updates for the next generation of their successful touring car platform and it seems to be a pretty comprehensive change with a new chassis, top deck, shock towers, upper bulkheads along with whole host of other stuff. Expect chassis shots and full details in the near future.

Serpent S120 Link-Tube chassis

Having brought you a sneak peek CAD image on Monday, today Serpent have released complete information and images of the S120 Link-Tube, the latest version of their 1/12 chassis. Optimised following a full season of testing and racing, the focus has been on the optimal weight distribution in the car with modern LiPo, motor and speedo. A symmetrical chassis design gives even flex while a new top deck and alu poles increases stiffness. The front end with many set-up options is continued, the strong rear end is now fitted with 7075 T6 anodised alu parts for the motor pod to increase durability even at hard crashes and S120-LT is fitted with super-light and strong aluminum rear shaft.
