This past weekend saw Rd1 of the Irish National Off-road Series kick off at the popular Badmcc race track. Bradley Baird took his JQ Racing buggies to a double TQ and victory in both Nitro and Electric classes. Alan Scroggie (HB Racing) and Paul Myles (Kyosho) would round out the Nitro podium as David Telford in 2nd and Andrew Rennick clinching 3rd, completed a JQ Racing podium sweep in the E-Buggy class.
The 2nd Annual Pan Car Masters was held at the MRTM Lostallo track in Switzerland over the weekend. The event is also known as the unofficial Pro10 World Championship with this year’s race attracting entries from Austria, Italy, Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, France, the Czech Republic and the hosting country Switzerland. The weather forecast for the weekend wasn’t the best, however nearly 50 drivers made the trip to race at the iconic Swiss track. The event was held in several 1/10th and 1/8th Electric classes and although free practice was held in dry conditions, things turned to the worse for the timed practice, qualifiers and finals that were all run in the wet.

452 Raceway of Lindale, Texas held their grand track opening race this past weekend. Texas native Nick Sublette swept the 1/8th scale Buggy classes as he drove his buggy to the win in the 30-minute Expert Nitro Buggy A-main final in front of Pablo Tejada and Myk Willis. Over in the Expert E-Buggy mains it was again Nick Sublette with a comfortable win from Mark Santa Maria 2nd and Stewart Holmes 3rd.

Round two of the BRCA 1/8th E-Buggy and Truggy National Championship was held at the North West Nitro track this past weekend. Agama’s Darren Bloomfield would take the TQ in the E-Buggy class and he would also come out fastest after the A-mains to take the win, however he was challenged all the way by Agama teammate, Joni Skidmore who had to settle for 2nd ultimately. Team Associated’s Mike Lewis would round out the top 3 podium result.

This weekend the JConcepts Spring Indoor National Series series was held at the TRCR track in Tacoma, Washington. The tight and technical track layout made for fun and challenging racing conditions. Racing kicked off with a seeding practice round on Friday evening and after the qualifiers on Sunday morning it was Ryan Maifield (Yokomo) with the TQ in 2WD Mod Buggy from Team Associated’s Dustin Evans 2nd and Ty Tessmann (Xray) in 3rd. 4WD Mod Buggy had Ty Tessmann taking the TQ from Dustin Evans 2nd and Ryan Maifield 3rd.

The Rajikon-Tengoku Nagoya track in Japan will play host to the Xray Racing Series Japan on July 1st. The event will be held in several electric on-road classes including Touring Modified, Touring Stock, Formula and 1/12th scale. Stafford in the heart of the UK was the venue for round two of the BRCA Touring Car series. Heading the Modified challenge was an on-form Olly Jefferies who had enjoyed a dominating win at round one while his domestic challengers in the form of Elliott Harper and Chris Grainger struggled and both these drivers needed a good round two result to get their 2018 challenge back on track. Zak Finlay was also looking to make it two out of two after a win at Cotswolds and he led away the drivers in the 13.5 Boosted Stock class. Blinky 13.5 looked pretty open and now on a track that wasn’t so reliant on power this class looked like it was going to be a close affair with Colin Jackson, Billy Fletcher and pole man from Cotswolds Markus Askell all in the mix.

The organisers of the new 2018/19 OneTen Chinese EP Racing Series presented by Infinity are extremely pleased to announce Sweep Racing as the official handout tire supplier for the series. With a long history of supporting major series and races around the World, including the upcoming Reedy Race in California, the Korean brand will supply their popular QTS and EXP range of tires for both the Modified and Stock classes at all 4 rounds of the championship which kicks off on October 6-7 (updated date) at RCI V2 in Shanghai, the only carpet race of the season. Sweep will also be the official handout additive supplier for the 3 outdoor asphalt races, the series going outdoor from round 2 in Hong Kong in December before moving to Guangzhou in January for round 3 and ending back in Hong Kong in March. Tires will be available trackside at all venues in the week leading up to each event and each entrant receives one free set with their entry.
