Qualification started on Saturday and it was Mattia Collina in stock F1 who showed immediately that he was going to be the man to beat. In just three laps he built a 1 second gap ahead of the second place driver. He took TQ followed by fellow Xray driver Alessio Tolomelli with Nico Catelani in third. The stock F2 qualifications were all about the duel between Xray driver Marco Marino and Andrea Senni until the end with Senni having more luck taking the pole position on the final grid. The modified category was a much closer affair. Francesco Martini was able to get the TQ followed by fast Diego Macchioni and Alessandro Ciaccheri.
