Ofir Avitan scores Israeli League Rd9 win

Round nine of the popular Israeli League was held at the Speed Racing track at Near Moshe. After a rainy week the race started on a slightly wet track but the hot sun soon dried it out. Ofir Avitan would take the TQ spot after the qualifiers from Omer Assayag and Yaniv Sivan. At the start of the 40-minute main final Ofir Avitan jumped into the lead while Omer Assayag had to quit due to radio issues. Yaniv Sivan, coming from the 3 spot, managed to take the lead at some stage but a few mistakes and a fast pace of Ofir Avitan saw Yaniv dropping back to second. Meanwhile Aviv Mimon, coming from the 4th spot, had moved up to third place and a fuel flame out at the 35 min mark by Yaniv Sivan ultimately promoted Aviv into second place behind Ofir and in front of Yaniv.
