Sam Langer sweeps 2019 Quebec Indoor Nats

The 2019 Quebec Indoor Nationals were hosted by the Bego Racing RC Raceway this past weekend. The event was held in a variety of 1/8th and 1/10th scale classes and it would be Sam Langer who would sweep the Nitro Buggy, E-Buggy and E-Truggy categories. Jerome Treignier took the TQ in Nitro Buggy, however in the 30-minute main final it was Sam Langer with the win some two laps in front of David Lecuyer in 2nd and Jerome Treignier in 3rd.

Drake & Westergaard win at Grassroots Race Series Rd5

Round 5 of the 2019 Grassroots Race Series was held at the Pro-Line track in Banning, California. The event attracted nearly 120 entries and in Open Nitro Buggy it was Mugen’s Adam Drake with the TQ and win from HB Racing’s Cole Jenson 2nd and TLR’s Anthony Westergaard in 3rd.

Adam Fikri wins Malaysia Saudi RC Federation Race

The Putrajaya Offroad RC track of Putrajaya, Malaysia played host to the Malaysia Saudi RC Federation Race this past weekend. JQRacing’s Adam Fikri took the TQ in the 1/8th Nitro buggy class and he also brought home the win in the 60-minute main final, leaving behind Serpent’s Mizan in 2nd place, while Kent Sung completed the top 3 result. Team Associated’s James Khoo and Mugen driver Meshaal Alnowaser came in 4th and 5th respectively.

Rayan Medjoubi wins French 1/8th Buggy Nats Rd1

The Mini Auto Club Andelysien played host to round 1 of the French 1/8th Nitro Buggy national championship this past weekend. The top qualifying spot went to TLR’s Renaud Savoya, however in the A-main it was Kyosho’s Rayan Medjoubi who would prevail, taking the win after a tough fight with Renaud. TLR’s Tom Robin would round out the podium in front of 4th placed Thomas Musso (Mugen) and 5th placed Vincent Meertens (Xray).

Ryan Lutz wins 2019 DXR Dirt Kings race

The 2019 DXR Dirt Kings race was held held at the Harper Adams University in Shropshire, UK over the weekend, attracting some of the world’s fastest 1/8th nitro off-road racers. Team Associated’s Davide Ongaro would sweep the Nitro Buggy qualifiers with a clean 800 points score, followed by Agama’s Ryan Lutz in 2nd, tie on points with Kyosho’s Joao Figueiredo. New SWorkz signing, Elliott Boots and teammate Juan Carlos Canas would follow in 4th and 5th, again tie on points. The 45-minute main final than would see a very close outcome with Ryan Lutz taking a slim 2.5 seconds win from Davide in 2nd while Juan Carlos came in 3rd, only ten seconds behind Davide. Agama’s Burak Kilic and SWorkz’s Elliott Boots came in 4th and 5th, already two laps down.

Samuel Zayas wins at BRCC N.E.O.S. Rd4

Round 4 of the 2019 BRCC N.E.O.S. was held in Puerto Rico last weekend. Raymond M. Soto took the overall GT class TQ after the qualifiers, however it would be Samuel Zayas with the win in the A-main final from Raymond on the 2 spot. Godfrey Franco would round out the top 3 for an all-IGT8 podium.

Shepherd sign Rico Kröber

Shepherd have announced the signing of German 1/10th on-road specialist, Rico Kröber to their team. The former WRC Racing pilot will campaign Shepherd’s Velox V10 Nineteen 1/10th 200mm nitro kit both at national and international events and he has the following to say about the move:

I am proud to be able to start this season for Team Shepherd with my Velox V10 nineteen at national and international races. Already over the winter I was super integrated into the team and already worked out ideas and exchanged experiences. I’m looking forward to intensive testing, successful races, and working together in this great team. I would like to thank Thilo Tödtmann for his effort and Patrick Schäfer for the opportunity.
