Magnus Vassmar takes 2006 Swedish 1/12th Champs

Team Orion is reporting on their site that team driver Magnus Vassmar (old picture) has won the Swedish Indoor 1/12th scale Championships. This very talented youngster has now won back to back indoor titles in 1/12th scale as well as 1/10th.

Magnus Vassmar conquered the competition in the 1/12 Modified class at the 2006 Swedish Championships. Utilizing the latest voltage enhanced V-Max Plus RDS IB4200 WC cells, Magnus became double consecutive Swedish Indoor Champion in 1/12 and 1/10 classes.

Gary Guest wins Mapston Memorial

The well connected team over at Neo-Buggy.net have this event totally covered so best leave it to them to explain how it panned out:

The 1/8 Buggy class was the most competitive and largest class with almost 90 entries. Gary Guest took home TQ honours by posting the fastest overall time of the event and then when on to take the win, piloting his Jammin X1-CR FTE across the line first.

2006 French off road Champions crowned

French Champions 2006

The FVRC (French Federation) have presented the 2006 Electric off road champions with their winners trophy’s. In the 2wd modified class it was Arnaud Collet who took home the title, in 4wd modified class Vincent Heligoin won and finally in the truck class it was Alain Canova who emerged victorious at the end of the season.

Jon Hazlewood UK Vice-Champion 2006

Xray are carrying a report on their site from their team driver Jon Hazlewood that outlines in detail his super busy and successful 2006 off road race season. Its a good read that outlines the ups and downs of a top RC racer.

The world’s was a good event for me. I managed to qualify into the semi’s. I won my side and made it into the main final. | was very happy to achieve this. Unfortunately my motor eat half the track and stopped working, ending my final. I was still very pleased with the result. Making the main at a Worlds is so hard.

Nicolas Decamps wins Belgian off road Nationals

Nicolas Decamps

Nicolas Decamps has won the Belgian off road gas Nationals at the last round of the championship in Bouffioux with 4th position in the race enough to give him the title. 2nd in the championship went to Guy de Werd who could only manage fifth in the race with third in the championship going to Raphael Robert who took a fine 2nd position in the final race.

Robert Batlle wins Spanish Champs Cup

Andy Moore takes Rd1 at BIWS

BIWS Rd1

Current World Champion Andy Moore took victory in the first round of the British Indoor Winter Series held at Don Valley. Driving his Hot Bodies Cyclone in the modified class he finished ahead of team mate Jonathon Bowden with Ben Cosgrove in third. Ben who was making his debut with the Xray T2007 also took victory in the 19T class.

Sam Cheng wins Singapore Open

XB8 Singapore

Top Singaporean driver, and all round nice guy, Sam Cheng has taken top honours at the Singapore Open Championships driving his Xray XB8 ahead of team mate Glenn Phuah with young driver Ah M in third. Sam is an experienced International driver in on-road racing too and a real RC enthusiast as well as being distributor for many brands in his home country.

Towards the end of the finale, somehow luck was with Sam that allowed him to pull away a little ahead that put him ONE lap ahead and took away the A Main 1st trophy!
