Jesper Rasmussen wins at Danish EP Off-road Nats Rd2

Round 2 of the Danish DRCMU 1/10th Off-road Nationals was hosted by the Heden RC club this past weekend. In the premier 2WD Modified Buggy class it was Team Associated’s Jesper Rasmussen with the win from Yokomo’s Frederick Hovgaard on the runner-up spot. Young Marcus Kærup would round out the top 3 result. Over in 4WD Modified Buggy it was up and coming Marcus Kærup with clean sweep in the qualifiers and starting from pole position into the triple A-mains he would also walk away with the overall win from Jan Larsen on the 2 spot. Kim Nielsen would complete the podium result in 3rd. Over in the Racing Truck class it was Mads Koue with the TQ and win from Ulrich Rasmussen in 2nd and Per Eriksen in 3rd.

Jared Tebo sweeps 2019 Lonestar Challenge

The 2019 Lonestar Challenge was held at Thornhill Racing Circuit in Hutto, Texas this past weekend. The event was organised by The Dirt Racing’s Joey Christensen and attracted most of the country’s 1/8th off-road stars with Tekno RC’s Jared Tebo making the double in the Pro Nitro Buggy and Pro Nitro Truggy classes. It was Agama’s Ryan Lutz who would take the TQ in the Pro Nitro Buggy class from Xray’s Ty Tessmann, however after the 45-minute main final it was Jared Tebo who would walk away with the silverware from HB Racing’s Cole Ogden on the runner-up spot. Tekno RC’s Joe Bornhost would come in 3rd while TQ Ryan Lutz had to settle for 8th overall. Over in the Pro Nitro Truggy class TQ holder Ryan Lutz had to settle for 2nd overall, a lap behind the eventual winner, Jared Tebo. Joe Bornhorst, 2nd after the qualifiers, came in 3rd to round out the podium.

Miko Teponoja wins at FinTrack Tour Rd5

The fifth round of the FinTrack Tour took place at the Kuusankoski outdoor track this past weekend in perfect weather conditions. In the Touring Modified class it was Miko Teponoja with the overall TQ from Georgy Chmigal and Karri Salmela who also took a round each. In A1 and A2 Miko would come out on top, handing him the overall win early as Georgy Chmigal cemented his runner-up spot with a win in A3. Karri Salmela, who took the runner-up spots in all three A-mains, had to settle for 3rd overall.

Elliott Boots wins BRCA 1/8th Buggy opener

The opening round of the BRCA 1/8th Rallycross Nationals was held at the Herz Nitro Model Club this past weekend. SWorkz’s Elliott Boots, Team Associated’s Jamie Clancy and Xray’s Callum Niblett battled for the overall TQ with the better end for Elliott who scored three round wins while Jamie and Callum shared a round TQ each. In the 45-minute A-main final it then was Elliott who would hold the upper hand, taking the win a lap in front of Agama’s Jonathan Skidmore as Infinity’s Lee Martin took the final podium spot some nine seconds behind Joni. Team Associated’s Michael Lewis and SWorkz’s Kevin Brundsen would round out the overall top 5.

Arianto & Timothy win at 2019 LafarRace

The 2019 LafarRace 1/10th off-road race was hosted by the SDC Off-road track in Serpong, Indonesia this past weekend. The event was held in the 2WD Modified Buggy and 4WD Modified Buggy classes. Ray Timothy (Kyosho) took the overall TQ in 4WD Mod while Dimaz Arianto (Yokomo) set the TQ in 2WD Mod. The triple A-mains in both classes sees of both TQ would converted their pole into a win.
In 2WD, ultimately, Arianto dominated all the A-main legs to hand him the overall win, followed by fellow Yokomo drivers, Rizki Pradana and Toufan Iskandar in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Florian & Nico Schmid win at Swiss Off-road Champs Rd3

The third round of the Swiss 1/10th electric off-road championship took place last weekend at the Team Kaiju astro turf track in Harkingen. Due to the rain and heavy wind on Saturday the organisers had to postpone the race to Sunday. On Sunday, the wind was no longer an issue and the rainy sky changed to sunshine, however the constantly changing track conditions made it difficult to find the appropriate setup especially in the 2WD class. In the 4WD class the race for the overall win was on between Florian and Nico Schmid. Eventually the decision for the overall victory was made in A3 when Florian won ahead of Nico while Philip Jeisy completed the all-Xray top 3.

Bartek Kramza doubles at XRS Poland

A round of the Xray Racing Series Poland was held at the Warsaw-based Serock track last weekend. The astro turf track offers a huge 22 metre long wall ride section as well as technical and high-speed sections, making it a real challenge for the drivers. In the 2WD Buggy class Sebastian Migal and Bartek Kramza were fighting for the overall TQ, with the better end for the young Xray driver. The finals then were dominated by Bartek (Xray) followed by Sebastian Migal (Xray) and Bartlomiej Gogacz (Schumacher).

West German EP Off-road Regionals Rd2 – Report

Last weekend round 2 of the West German Electric Off-road Regionals was hosted by the Panik Team Troisdorf club and held on their huge astroturf track. Over 100 drivers defied the bad weather forecast and showed up on Saturday for some practice and the first out of three qualifiers. With rain almost the hole Saturday the track was pretty wet and slippery and made it a real challenge over the weekend. Nevertheless the sun came out on Sunday, however the track stayed wet and got even more slippery than the day before. Marcel Schneider made the best out of the conditions and took the TQ and win in the 2WD Modified class. Jens Becker followed in 2nd place after finishing on the runner-up spot in all three finals. Marcus Lubke completed the podium in 3rd.
