Ielasi Tuned have announced the signing of Brian Poliseno for the 2016 season. A round winner at the Italian 1/8th national championships, Brian will use Ielasi Tuned’s new 9CL WC Edition engine to power his ARC R8.0 this coming season.

Cody King wins at Grass Roots series

Cody King wins at Grass Roots series

Thunder Alley RC Raceway of Beaumont, California held the Grass Roots series this past Sunday with the one day event attracting over 200 entries. In the 1/8th Buggy Expert A-main, TQ holder Cody King (Kyosho) took the win some 5 seconds in front of runner-up Shawn Kirkman (Tekno). Clayton Saxton (Team Associated) would round out the top 3 result some 11 seconds short of Shawn.

F.T. Line have announced the addition of veteran racer Domenico and up and coming Antonio Calce to their team line-up. The 2016 campaign of the two will see attendances at national Italian races and they will also compete internationally at selected ENS events.

Norwegian Winter Series Rd3 – Report

Norwegian Winter Series Rd3 – Report

Round three of the Norwegian Winter Series was held in the east of Norway, in the city of Honefoss. The organisers laid out a huge 680 square metre track using the famous ETS carpet and the race schedule saw three rounds of qualifying followed by triple A-mains. Classes run were Touring Modified and 1/12th scale for the nationals plus the two supporting classes of Touring Stock 13.5T and M-Chassis. In the Touring Modified class the race for the TQ was on between Nikolai Håheim (VBC) and Helge Johannessen (ARC). Nikolai made a clean sweep in all three qualifiers to claim the top qualifier spot. Helge would line up in second for the finals. Behind the two the fight for the 3 spot would be between Rune Svestøl (Xray), Andreas Daving (Schumacher) and Even Enerstvedt (VBC). After the qualifying was over they were all tie on points, but Rune had the fastest run to count, handing him the 3 spot on the grid ahead of Andreas in 4th and Even in 5th.

Meen V. wins at 2016 Buggy Challenge Southern Rd1

The opening round of the 2016 Buggy Challenge Southern was held at the Pattaya track in Thailand. The 6-race series will visit three different tracks and round 1 had Mugen racer Meen V. taking the TQ and win in dominant fashion. Mongkolphan L. (HB) took the runner-up spot from a happy Paphon (Mugen) who ended the race on a fine third place despite suffering from engine problems during the main.

Tasos Batas wins at RC Ring Snow Race

The RC Ring Snow Race was held at the RC Ring indoor race track. Local driver Tasos Batas (Xray) took the TQ after the qualifiers from Mitropoulos (Yokomo) and Sikianakis (TOP). In the finals Tasos made a clean sweep by winning all three A-mains with Mitropoulos and Georgiadis (Xray) fighting for the second spot. At the end Mitropoulos would come out successful as he grabbed the runner-up spot from Georgiadis with all drivers finishing within a second in all three finals.

Balestri & Berselli win at WRC Contest

The 2016 WRC Contest was held at the RC-Landia track in Scandiano, Italy with some of the fastest Italian racers in attendance. Classes run included Touring Modified, Touring Stock 13.5T, Formula 21.5T, Pan Car and 1/12th Modified. In the Touring Modified class Dario Balestri (Capricorn) was the man to beat as he won two of the three qualifiers and all three A-main legs. At a distance Alessio Menicucci (Xray) ended the race on the runner-up spot while Fabrizio Manicardi (Xray) completed the top 3 result. In the Touring Stock class Gabriele Berselli (Yokomo) took the winning honours after coming out successful in the first and third A-main. Davide Bertuzzi (Xray) snatched the win in the second A-main and with it the overall second place from Capricorn pilot Federico Barbieri who rounded out the podium with a fine third place despite missing the free practice runs on Saturday.
