Swedish EP on-road Championships 2015 – Report

The Swedish Championships for 1/10th Touring Car and 1/12th Modified classes were held in Örebro, on a purpose-built track that was laid out in a sports hall. On Saturday, followed by a full day of practice on Friday, Markus Hellquist set the pace in both the Touring Car Modified and the 1/12 scale class, 0.537 seconds ahead of Niclas Nilsson in Touring and 0.011 seconds ahead of Alexander Andersson in 1/12 scale. In 17,5T Touring Stock class Andreas Gillblad set the pace just 0.079 ahead of Daniel Trygg.

Tyler Jones wins 4WD Mod Buggy at Serpent Challenge

The first annual Serpent Challenge at Lesiure Hours Raceway in Joliet, IL, was a one day race that brought in 245 of the fastest racers from several states. In 4WD Modified Buggy class Tyler Jones would lay down the fastest runs to capture the TQ spot and later on the win in the A-main. Rounding out the podium would be Austin Horne in 2nd and Brett Kingsbury in 3rd.

Mark Green wins British F1 Nationals Rd2

Last weekend was the 2nd round of a 4-meeting series for the British 1/10 F1 Nationals held at Broxtowe. Mark Green with his Serpent F110 managed TQ in 3 of the 4 qualifying rounds and lead the A-final for most of the race he have a close race with David Underwood for the first half of the final before winning the final by a full lap. Round 3 will be at the Swift Raceway near Sheffield on Sunday 8th March.

Dylan Gerard signs with Serpent

Serpent America has announced the signing of Dylan Gerard. Gerard, a former TLR driver, is a well-known name around the United States, and even more so in the mid-western region. The Ohio native will be equipped with the full line of Serpent vehicles for 2015, including 1/10th and 1/8th scale. Gerard has the following to say:

Mike Gosvig wins at Danish DMSU nationals Rd4

The 4th round of the Danish DMSU nationals was held at the Broendy Racing Club near Copenhagen, on a technical yet flowing track. Following a strong performance in practice Mike Gosvig took TQ’s in every of the three qualifiers and he was the only driver to manage 29 lap runs in the Touring Car class. Up and coming talent Patrick Danielsen put himself on the 2nd spot on the grid thanks to two 2nd place finishes in qualifying.

Novotny takes triple podium victory at Lestr Cup Rd3

The 4th round of this Winter’s Lestr Cup in the Czech Republic Kaja Novotny once again showed his multi-class winning capabilities. Competing in 2WD Buggy, 4WD Buggy and Short Course categories, Kaja powered to a solid TQ in all classes, winning the pole position in each qualifier. The Czech Team Durango star then dominated all three A-main finals to be crowned triple Lestr fourth round Champion, posting the event’s fastest laps during the process.

JConcepts '15 Indoor National Series – Announcement

JConcepts announce the 2015 season of the Indoor National Series, a 5 race off-road series across the United States. The first four years combined attracted over 4000 entries and this year drivers have the opportunity to showcase their abilities on a national and regional level. Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall nationals make up the seasonal events at fixed locations while the finals will serve as the end of the year bash for the awards and series championship. The series will be awarded based on points participation in three out of the five events. JConcepts wants to make the 2015 Indoor National Series one to remember. With a heavier marketing push to provide the best turnout possible for the host track, JConcepts has teamed up with Red RC as a media partner to professionally cover select events during the 2015 season. JConcept are looking to make 2015 a breakout year in terms of series participation, factory drivers, representatives and professionalism. All events will be awarded separately and collectively so those worried about a commitment will be recognized for performance regardless of series participation. City destinations, track facilities and competition level have all been weighed and evaluated ahead of time so rest assured the experience and atmosphere is worthy, now it’s up to you. Jeff Hamon takes double Victoria State titles

Jeff Hamon takes double Victoria State titles

At the 2015 Victoria State Titles Jeff Hamon took the win in both the 1/8th and 1/10th on-road nitro classes. Steven Jovamovic came in 2nd in the 1/8th category, Tim Westwood rounded out the podium in 3rd. In the 1/10th championship Ricky Vocale grabbed the runner-up spot from Andrew Gillespie in 3rd.
