Hot Race Tyres has announced the signing of top South American driver Flavio Elias to their team. Flavio was instantly impressed by the performance of the tyres and he will use them in his upcoming campaign that will include races such as the national and South American Championship as well as the Winternats and other events.

Having made an early mistake in A1 which resulted in an unfavorable 3rd place finish for the 2WD Modified TQ, AE/JConcepts’ Nick Gibson vowed he wouldn’t make the same mistake twice. This time, the story was much different as Gibson was able to slowly stretch out his lead from the rest of the pack. In a league of his own and having the fastest car on the track, Gibson was able pull away and cruise to an uncontested win in A2 leaving the rest to battle for 2nd and 3rd.

The tension at the opening round of the JConcepts Indoor National Series had finally reached the weekend high as racers calm the nerves and settle in for the first round of A mains. The highly anticipated battle in the super competitive 2WD Modified class did not disappoint and a nail biter from start to finish.

The last round of qualifying was an awesome display of dominance by TLR’s JP Richards. On a mission, Richards set the quickest time in all 3 classes he entered. Posting the fastest time in the 2WD Modified class with a 19 lap 5:04.78, Richards was able to take his 1st TQ and bettering his overall position for tomorrow’s triple a-main by starting 2nd on the grid.

Round 2 of the Winter Indoor National Series has seen an unexpected rise of the young, fast, and talented racers like Nick Gibson. The Team Associated/JConcepts driver had a near flawless run with just two minor incidents with traffic, but was able to climb his way to the front and put in the fastest time of the round with a 19 lap 5:08.35. Having not changed his car from his first run, Gibson said he was “glad to have a much better run than round 1,” and was much happier with his performance.

Round 1 of the 2015 JConcepts Indoor National Series takes place this weekend at Smactrac in St. Louis, Missouri. The 2015 edition is even better with the addition of the 13.5 modified 4WD class to broaden the class range for more competitive racing and round 1 is only the beginning of an ultra competitive 5 race series. First of all congratulations to last year’s INS overall champions, including TLR/Orion/JConcepts star driver Ryan Maifield, who looked nearly invincible last year and took home 3 Modified titles including the highly coveted 2WD title as well as 4WD and SC. Also congrats to Kyosho/Orion/JConcept’s Thomas Tran for winning the Modified Truck title along with TLR/Trinity/JConcepts JR Mitch for winning the Modified 4×4 SC class. Also, congrats to Kyosho’s Dustin Delaney for winning the ultra competitive 2WD Stock class. However, this year’s title race starts over on a clean slate and looking to crown new Champions in all classes.

Xray has announced the contract extension with seasoned on-road racer and former IFMAR World Champion Ralph Burch for 2015. Ralph will attend all major electric and nitro races to support the Xray USA team and to race Xray’s line of on-road cars. Ralph has the following to say about the deal:
I have been very happy for the work our Xray USA team has achieved over the last decade and including the last year. Over the years we have built a very effective team work & cooperation which has resulted into some of my best achievements in my racing career including the World Champion title. We have a strong commitment to continue our work to provide the best possible service & support and I will do my best at all the major USA races as usually. The Xray X Race Italy was held at the indoor asphalt facility of Indoor Racing Chilelli in Touring Car Modified and Stock classes along the further growing Formula category. The weekend started with free practice on Friday, followed by heat practice on Saturday. In the 13.5T class Mike Gosvig and Mattia Collina both showed a very good speed and it looked like the two would battle it out for the pole position. In Sunday’s qualifying Mike then quite easily took all three rounds for the overall TQ some five seconds in front of Mattia Collina. Young Davide Bertuzzi rounded out the top 3 so far.
