Pro-Line Cavalieri Edition body shells

Pro-Line Cavalieri Edition

Pro Line have released these 2 new Cavalieri Edition Crowd Pleazer body shells for the Team Associated GT2 (above) and T4 cars. While the specifics of what is so good about these new bodies over previous versions isn’t clear, we think it may be just some small cosmetic changes, although i find it difficult to see much difference between this version and the non Cavalieri version.

Ryan Cavalieri combines his years of gas off-road experience with the finesse of Pro-Line’s product development team to produce a body that goes beyond the traditional Crowd Pleazer design. “Design makes a huge difference in the handling of the 1:10 off-road truck believe it or not. The design was developed to enhance the handling characteristics of the GT2,” says Ryan.

Nicolas Guillot wins Rd1 of French 1/8th Nats

Rd1 of French 1/8th Nats

As well as the 1st round of the 1/10th Nationals that we wrote about that took place last weekend, the first round of the 1/8th scale Nationals took place on the same weekend in Avignon. In qualifying it was Mugen racer Stephane Bouche that would claim the pole position ahead of Kyosho racer Sebastian Zatla in 2nd and Adrien Siegfried, also driving a Kyosho in 3rd. At the start of the main final Guillot is knocked off the track and almost loses a lap while Bouche and Siegfried are left to battle it out at the front, Siegfried eventually having to retire with mechanical problems gifting Bouche the lead. All the time Guillot is working his way up the field having found a good pace and when Bouche has a problem, Guillot pounces and takes the lead and with it his first ever win in the Elite class followed home by Bouche in 2nd and Zatla in 3rd.

In the buggy class it was Bruce Thompson that took the pole position ahead of Kevin Brunsden and Simon Smith, whilst in the truggy class it was Kevin Brunsden that took to the TQ spot ahead of James Helliwell and Bruce Knight in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

In buggy Simon Smith took the early lead and battled with Bruce until the first round of pitsops. Kevin Brunsden had a terrible start with an engine cut and he was chasing back through the field.
