24h Nitro Buggy Race Austria – Report

The annual 24h Nitro Buggy Race was held at the huge and challenging track of the WMW Fehring club. 14 teams from Austria and Germany attended the race with each team consisting of up to six drivers and only a single car. With a perfect pit strategy and scheduled maintenance stops, replacing only a single driveshaft and a bent shock shaft following a crash as well as an engine due to a broken clutch bearing, Team Hoeco took the win with 1964 or nearly 700km from Team Losi Austria (1912 laps) in 2nd and Team Xray Austria (1856 laps) in 3rd.

Kyosho tease new off-road truck

Kyosho have been busy in the last couple of weeks, releasing teasing videos of forthcoming kits, one of which will be the re-release of the iconic Javelin 1/10th 4WD buggy. In a new video the Japanese company now allows a first sight on their “Project 2RSA” that appears to be some sort of a vintage baja truck given the front suspension design and old-school-ish body shell. No other information is available for now beside what is visible in the video.

Tekno reveal more EB410 details

Tekno have revealed more details of their forthcoming EB410 1/10th scale 4WD electric buggy kit. Lifting the hood the EB410 appeares to be a shrunken-down version of Tekno’s popular EB48 1/8th E-buggy kit with the centre diff being placed in a rear/centre position while the motor is sitting mid ship. The shorty battery pack found its position in the front, just behind the steering servo while receiver and speed controller are located on the passenger seat, just in front of the motor, leaving the rear section of the chassis pretty much free of everything and making for a somewhat extreme forward weight bias given this is a 1/10th 4WD buggy. The kit is scheduled for a release in a few weeks and for now you can find more images and information after the break.
