Arrma Granite & Fazon Voltage Mega SRS RTR trucks

Coming from Arrma are the all-new Granite and Fazon Mega SRS ready-to-run trucks. The 1/10th scale 2WD vehicles are based on a newly designed mid motor plastic monocoque chassis that was developed around a highly versatile battery compartment that allows to run the trucks with the new Arrma 18650 LiIon single cell batteries or your choice of standard 6-cell NiMH or 2S LiPo batteries. Using the company’s 3.7V LiIon cells reminds of using a toy as they are side-loaded into the battery compartment and using one, two or three pairs of batteries allows to double or triple the running time of the truck. Other features include a tough transmission with metal-geared differential, wide transmission gears as well as oil-filled shock absorbers and waterproof electronics. The sets are rounded off by pre-painted body shells, grippy dBoots tyres and a 2.4GHz radio system and a charger. Both the Granite monster and Fazon race truck are available in two different body colours and they will hit stores soon.

JConcepts MBX7R Strike 3 buggy body shell

JConcepts have introduced their new Strike 3 body shell for the Mugen MBX7R buggy. The body samples elements from its famous relatives the Finnisher, Silencer and Striker but packs a slightly refined image. The base enhancements to the design come from the parallel to chassis side pods, that look traditional with 1/8th buggies of the past. A large rear-end winglet has been added to aid in the rear traction stability as well as stopping force. The offset of the race proven shell provides a compact fit for fuel tank, linkage and air filter assembly while the heavy channeling on the front windshield keeps the Strike 3 aligned at high-speed. Just behind the engine head, a sleek up-rising flows from the body like running water and a sharp rise in the rear wicker blocks flow to the rear tower and redirects to the rear wing area. The clear body set includes window templates and a decal sheet and it is a direct fit for the MBX7R.

Muchmore Fleta M8.2 Competition 1/8th BL ESC

Muchmore have introduced the latest incarnation of their Fleta M8 brushless speed controller for 1/8th scale vehicles. The M8.2 features a machined aluminium case with Flow-Max technology for maximised cooling efficiency. The finely ripped heatsink is incorporated into the case for added cooling performance and an additional ultra high RPM cooling fan with aluminium guard further increases heat dissipation when using powerful motors or when running in high ambient temperatures. The M8.2 makes use of Muchmore’s RSS reversible switch system whose optional power switch allows to use the controller with power switch or, with the ESC being always on, switch-less. Also coming with the controller is a triple power capacitor that was designed to assist the latest LiPo technology and deliver a linear throttle feeling.

Xray XB4 2018 1/10th 4WD electric buggy kit

Xray have introduced the 2018 edition of their 2016/17 EOS winning XB4 1/10th 4WD buggy kit. The car, that also is reigning IFMAR World Champion, EFRA European as well as US Champion, received some subtle updates to better cope with the rigours of today’s ultra-competitive Modified racing. First up is a redesigned chassis that accommodates a new, lower motor mount to lower the overall centre of gravity. The corresponding centre bulkhead lowers the position of the centre drivetrain for higher corner speeds especially on high-bite surfaces while the updated side guards add to the all-new low CG setup. In the suspension compartment, improved lower bushings for the shock absorbers allow for smoother and more precise shock shaft movement. The 2018 kit is rounded out by updated front and rear differential crown gears whose greater precision leads to quieter operation and increased reliability.
