Nosram HD competition brushless speed controller

Japanese Nosram distributors Active Hobby Products have first information on the all-new Nosram HD competition brushless speed controller available. The controller is housed in a black-coated all-aluminium case, it features heavy duty internals and is good for up to 200A constant current. Like its sibling, the LRP FlowX, the speedo comes as TC Spec variant with a short receiver wire and v4.1 firmware for improved overall performance while the Offroad specific controller utilises a long receiver wire and the v3.1 firmware with advanced timing features and four brake modes. Both controllers sport all-black wires for a stealthy factory look, they can be equipped with optional fan units and they will become available by April.

Factory RC YZ-4 carbon shock towers & battery brace

Factory RC have introduced new carbon fibre option parts for the Yokomo YZ-4 1/10th 4WD off-road buggy. First up are front and rear shock towers made from 4mm black carbon fibre. Both the front and rear tower are of a beefier design while the rear part also allows for adjustable wing height. Thanks to Factory RC’s Leading Edge treatment the parts sport chamfered edges that make sanding unnecessary. Also new is the shorty battery brace that was specifically designed for a precise fit while allowing plenty of adjustment when running the battery cross wise in the chassis. Moulded Delrin stop blocks hold the battery firmly in place and full forward and reward battery placement can be achieved as well as in between positions and other configuration. Due to the thinner 3mm carbon fibre material full chassis flex will be retained.

Factory RC B64 blue weave carbon fibre option parts

Coming from Factory RC and made for the Team Associated B64 series of 4WD buggies are blue weave carbon fibre option parts. The range includes a floating servo mount plate made from 2.5mm material and incorporating an antenna mount, next up is a 4mm battery strap that utilises the stock hardware and also new is an 18mm bellcrank input arm that offers reduced weight. Next up are 4mm front and rear shock towers with increased void volume in the centre for additional airflow towards the windscreen and improved airflow in the rear of the body. Also new are 2.5mm steering arms that are lighter than the aluminium parts and the range is rounded out by a 3-piece rear diff shim set including 0.5mm, 1.0mm and 2.0mm shims that allow to raise the rear or front diff case for improved dog bone plunge and increased grip. The blue weave carbon parts sport Factory RC’s Leading Edge chamfered edges which makes sealing the parts with CA glue a snap.

Ultimate M3T .21 nitro off-road engine

Modelix Racing have introduced the Ultimate Racing M3T .21 nitro off-road engine. Based off of the O.S. B2102 square stroke engine, Ultimate’s latest power plant will offer exceptional and very linear power over the whole RPM range. The engine comes with a redesigned cooling head that is slightly higher compared to the B2102’s but its lighter weight will still keep the overall centre of gravity low. Also part of the updated package is a new carburettor with a redesigned high speed needle for optimised fuel flow, more stable idling, improved mileage and increased overall performance. Another area of improvement is the harder 7075-T6 aluminium backplate that reduced internal friction while improving conrod durability. Other features include a balanced and silicone-filled crankshaft, Japanese-made high-precision front and ceramic rear ball bearings, 6.0mm and 6.5mm venturi inserts and a 3-port sleeve and piston made from high-strength aluminium.

Exotek release new XB2 option parts

Exotek have announced the release of two new option parts for the Xray XB2 platform in the form of a LiPo cups and plate set as well as the steel axle Puck conversion. Starting with the LiPo battery mounting set, the kit makes for an ultra adjustable and quick weight tuning battery tray for all XB2s with laydown gearbox. With the included link brace, the water fall is removed on the buggy so that drivers are able to mount the battery even further back. The battery sitting back and the added rear flex created by the new link opens up the XB2 laydown to perform even better on dirt tracks without the need to add  a lot of weight. Thanks to the design it is also possible to quickly fine-tune the weight bias by shifting the battery forth and back without changing the link length as all changes are handles by the side LiPo adjustment cups. The kit includes all needed hardware including alloy posts, ball ends, a titanium turnbuckle and hardware.
