Ultimate Racing Alu Steering Ball Link Protector

Spanish company Modelix Racing, through its Ultimate Racing brand, has released this Aluminium Steering Ball Link Protector. Machined from T6-7075 aluminium and anodised in dark grey if you are tired of having to change steering ball links frequently this is for you. Designed to fit the ball link to prevent the rims from rubbing when turning the wheels and weakening the ball link. In terms of mounting no glue is required. Place the protectors as far as possible inside the ball joints and thread the tie rod. As the tie rod is threaded, the plastic of the ball joint expands, locking the protector in place.

Penguin Slayer CAT L1R Bodyshell

British custom modern and vintage bodyshell producer Penguin Custom Bodyshells has released its ‘Slayer’ for the Schumacher CAT L1R buggy. Describing the ‘Slayer’ as an unfussy design, the body ensures a smooth unhindered airflow which helps the rear downforce. With a wide stable cab at 40 degrees the body is available in both standard weight and lightweight with window masks, trim lines and made from high grade lexan window masks included. Pictures of the mounted body also show the ‘Royal’ wing also available from Penguin.

Grand Prix 3D Vintage retro replica parts

Grand Prix 3D brings you three more Vintage retro replica items to help you complete your vintage rides and shelf queens. First up is the “GOLD” anodised RC10 Motor Plates and Motor Guards, these are made from Series 5 alloy in 2mm thickness with all the required 4-40 threaded holes. Additionally the motor hole slot has been slightly curved to allow smooth setting of both brushed and brushless motor hole patterns without jamming. These are available as a pair or individually and will be available in Black anodising or even Raw un-anodised soon. Second of the releases are Retro Titanium Turnbuckles with 4-40 thread (and reverse thread) with a 1/4″ nut for adjustment. These are similar reproductions of what Lunsford used to manufacture and of course are perfect for your ’89 and ’91 Masami Stealth prototype replicas. Moto-Obscura RC10 battery strap and brass weight

Continuing its effort to support vintage racing, Moto-Obscura has released two new products for iconic Team Associated vehicles of yesteryear. A new carbon fibre battery strap allows you to effortlessly secure LiPo battery stick packs or shorty packs. Available in two sizes; Short for the RC10 B2 and B3 buggies, and long for the T3 stadium truck. With old school rear motor cars having a tendency to push through corners, especially without the added weight of NiCd battery cells, Moto-Obscura has come up with a solution to add steering to the RC10T. Their new brass front kickup weight adds 22g exactly where it is needed most, at the very front of the vehicle.

Schumacher Ridge Pin 1:8 Offroad Carpet & Astro Tyre

In response to racer requests, Schumacher Racing has released the new Ridge Pin 1:8 Offroad tyre. The Ridge Pin is similar to Schumacher’s extremely popular Mini Pin tyre but features fewer spikes to give a less aggressive feel on astro, carpet, and grass surfaces.

HB Racing D4 Evo3 1:10 4WD Buggy

New from HB Racing is their D4 Evo3 1:10 scale 4WD electric buggy. HB designer Torrance Deguzman has updated his D418 design with new high performance features aimed to optimise performance on carpet and high grip race tracks. The D4 Evo3 includes a new chassis that moves the motor forward for improved weight balance, new gearboxes to allow lower ride height without compromising the suspension geometry, a lowered carbon fibre front shock tower, and E8 style chassis braces/rods that allow side flex while maintaining bending stiffness. Also included are Dual Cardan Joint front universals to eliminate front wheel chatter, machined aluminium front caster blocks, and new fully adjustable machined aluminium rear hub carriers.
