Tekno SCT410SL 1:10 4×4 Lightweight SCT

Tekno RC has announced the release of its latest addition to the short course racing class, the SCT410SL. The much anticipated vehicle has been in testing and development for more than two years, and has been tested on tracks throughout the United States to ensure that it meets the high standards set by Tekno RC. The SCT410SL is not a replacement for their popular SCT410.3 short course truck, which has been in production for almost eight years. Instead, the SCT410SL is a lightweight alternative to the SCT410.3 and is designed for use on racetracks where enhanced agility and a lighter vehicle are advantageous.

JConcepts Tire Reference & Comparison Packet

JConcepts has just published their 2023 Tire Reference and Comparison Packet. In the fast-paced world of RC tyres, it’s rare to capture all current models, their names, exposition, and available compounds all in one packet. Celebrating 20-years in business, JConcepts begins the 2023 season showing off their complete line of current models, and playing into the future showing several unreleased, but items so close to release, they couldn’t resist adding them to the fray. Updates or changes include streamlining the compound line and adding locations for a variety of Aqua compounds. An update to the application chart now includes when and where to use certain tread and compounds. They provided an icon which indicates a pre-mounted option or intended future option. New 2.2 tire crawler tire options have been added, along with SCX6 models, 1.7” and 1.9” RC10 front and rear tires, new XMaxx and XRT high-performance options and a few new items scheduled for release very soon. Bayer joins electronics newcomer Elceram

New RC electronics manufacturer Elceram has announced the signing of offroad racer Martin Bayer who will race their products in 2023. Announcing his departure from Hobbywing recently, the former 1:10 European Champion joins the new start-up from his native Czech Republic and will use in his Xray buggies their first ‘Nitride’ ESC which has been specifically developed for RC car use. Commenting on the announcement Bayer said, “I am very happy to be able to join such a professional company as Elceram. Elceram is a company founded in Czech Republic, where all their products are developed and manufactured. It is an honour for me to be able to compete and collaborate on the development with a company which is from my home country. After testing NITRIDE for the first time, I was impressed with the performance, quality and ease of use. I think NITRIDE is a game changer in the market.”

Sworkz SB800 Twin Power Offroad Starterbox

Sworkz has introduced its new SB800 Twin Power Starter Box that has been specially developed for off-road use. With its two 775 engines, it is one of the most powerful starter box on the market. The structure of the box is simple and very robust. The starter contacts and the starting mechanism have been tested for longevity and flawless function in tough racing conditions. A newly developed battery holder allows the use of different battery variants with Sworkz recommending a single 4S Lipo or 2 x 2S Lipos for optimal power supply. As standard, the SB800 is intended for 2x2S with XT60 connections. Depending on the battery configuration, different adapter cables can be used (EC5, T-connector, etc.) The two 775 motors drive the starter pulley via high-strength toothed belts. Manufactured from non-marking rubber, this disc can be easily replaced if necessary. The aluminium housing of the SB800 is coated and finished with a dynamic Sworkz design. With the 4 plastic brackets supplied, the most diverse chassis shapes can be optimally positioned on the SB800 so it can be used for numerous 1:8 off-road vehicles. A fault-prone main switch was deliberately omitted. The carrying handle has a holder for the glow plug connector.

With all-new design axles, an advanced transmission with selectable underdrive, new comp-worthy shocks, and multiple other innovations and features, the SCX10 Pro offers the ultimate foundation when top level performance is the goal. The lightweight, highly adjustable Pro chassis is a comp-specific design that’s optimised for climbing, side hilling, and break over. The multi-piece axles are built with steel tubes and can accommodate a chassis-mounted (CMS) or axle-mounted (AMS) servo. The motor mount positions the motor low and forward in the chassis for improved weight distribution. It also allows you to underdrive the rear axle via servo or to manually lock the rear axle in 1:1 or underdrive.

JConcepts S15 RC8B4 Body

JConcepts has announced the release of their S15 body shell for the Team Associated RC8B4. The latest platform from the reigning 1:8 Buggy World Champion manufacturer, it came several new features to design around for the team at JConcepts who spent considerable time evaluating the new chassis layout and how to incorporate the championship winning S15 body to the vehicle. The S15 blends performance features from the popular Silencer body with new features such as mid-body winglets and rear stabilizer kick-up. The roof of the body remains strong with the upper fin in position for stability and tracking ability. Since the latest chassis platform included revised steering geometry, front gearbox updates and a new front shock tower, revisions were needed around the entire front-end to fit the new buggy body properly. The front and rear body mount area is cleanly designed and allows for a drop-fit on the Team Associated RC8B4 model.

JConcepts premount Pin Swag 2WD Front Tyre

JConcepts is now offering their Pin Swag 2WD front tyre pre-mounted. The Pin Swag, which combines the outer lugs of a JConcepts Swagger front tire with the dense arrangement of specialty pins, is assembled and glued on JConcepts 3376 wheels in either bright white or fluorescent yellow colours. A unique feature on the Pin Swag and many of the JConcepts carpet/astro turf racing tyres is the scalloped tyre bead which removes a lot of weight from a normally beefy area. The tips of the bead touch off on the inner beads on the wheel which lead to a great alignment but now with reduced rotating weight.

T-Works B6 Titanium Slipper Spring Adapter

Coming from T-Works is this Titanium Slipper Spring Adapter for Team Associated’s B6 1:10 2WD chassis. Machined from Ti64 grade titanium, they are a direct lightweight replacement for the standard kit adapter which holds the slippery spring in place.
