Team Magic E4RS III Plus aluminium fan mounts

Team Magic have introduced two new aluminium fan mounts tailor-made for the E4RS III Plus electric touring car. Coming in two variants for 25mm and 30mm as well as 40mm fans, the mounts are a direct fit on the E4RS III and E4RS III Plus chassis thanks to pre-drilled mounting holes. The fan mounts are usable with most of today’s fans of the respective size and they make for secure yet lightweight mounting of the units.

Favrelle wins 10.5T class at French On-road Nats Rd4

The recent fourth round of the French Electric On-road Nationals was held in Ingrandes in central France. Almost 70 drivers signed in to compete in the four classes of Touring Modified, Touring 10.5T, Touring 13.5T and Formula 21.5T. In the Touring 10.5T class it was Steve Favrelle who took the TQ after a rained out qualification in front of Pierre Delorme and Romain Delaunay. The finals were run on Sunday afternoon in sunny and dry conditions and it was pole position holder Steve Favrelle who grabbed the overall win by coming out successful in A1 and A3. Alexandre Duchet ended the day in second while Jeremy Delalondre completed the top 3 result.

Andrew Bardetta wins at Serpent Cup Race

The Australian Serpent Cup was held over the weekend with rain reduced qualifying from 6 rounds down to 4. Tim Lee took the TQ in 1/10th 200mm Touring followed by David Chen and Joel Casey. In the final Tim got the early lead followed by David Chen and Andrew Bardetta, all three drivers within a couple of seconds of each other. Chen managed to get the lead a few mins in and Bardetta moved into second. From their it was a race long battle between the pair with the lead swapping a couple of times and never more than 2 seconds separating them. Lee was in a comfortable 3rd only 6 seconds behind the leading duo. The battle was on in the pits with every pitstop critical. With a couple of mins to go Bardetta closed the gap to within one second of Chen. On the last lap Chen ran out of fuel coming onto the back straight which gave Bardetta the victory and moving Lee up to second for an Xray 1-2. David Chen (Serpent) managed to hold onto third, being a lap ahead of fourth.

Nelson Lee teams up with Serpent

Singapore-based Nelson Lee is the latest addition to Serpent’s growing Asia team, the manufacturer announced. Nelson will campaign the company’s latest Viper 977-Evo 1/8th scale nitro on-road car at the Singapore National series, the coming Futaba O.S. Cup as well as selected international events. Nelson says:

I am honoured and pleased to join Team Serpent. Being part of this prestigious RC brand is like a dream come true. Serpent has never failed to produce a championship winning car. I will race the proven Serpent 1/8 scale Viper-977 evo for the coming Futaba OS Cup and Singapore national series as well as attending some other international races. Gary Huang joins Sunpadow

Sunpadow have announced the signing of Gary Huang of Guangzhou to their factory team. A Modified Touring class A-main finisher at the recent AOC finale in Shanghai, alongside drivers such as Ronald Völker and Jilles Groskamp, Gary already made an impact in the scene and he will participate at both national and international events using Sunpadow’s range of LiPo batteries while also helping with product development and testing.

Ielasi Tuned have introduced three new engines in the form of the ITD.21-7CL Buggy off-road and the .12 and .21 Sport on-road engines. Starting with the off-road engine, the ITD.21-7CL is a 7-port long-stroke engine with new carburettor and all-new 60mm cooling head as well as a 14mm crankshaft with red paste for improved mixture flow. The engine is available with standard steel or ceramic rear bearing. As for the .12 and .21 Sport on-road engines, both were developed with both the club racer and professional in mind. Dirk Rischard joins ARC for 2016

Dirk Rischard joins ARC for 2016

ARC have announced the signing of Luxembourg’s Dirk Rischard to their team. The former Serpent driver will use the company’s R8.0 2016 nitro on-road kit during this year’s campaign that will include appearances at events such as the Luxembourg and German National Championships, the ENS and other major races. Dirk has to say the following about the deal:

I started my racing career with Serpent and want to thank Serpent Motorsport and especially Ronald, Jirka and Michael to have supported me during the last years. But now it is time for a new challenge and I’m happy to announce to team up with ARC factory team. ARC has one of the most competitive car on the market and I will represent ARC at all major races on the 2016 calendar including ENS, the German and Luxembourg championship as official ARC factory driver and I’m sure together we can achieve good results. I would like to thank Jones Chu and John Ermen for putting the trust in me and for this awesome opportunity. RC Lemans Series Rd2 – Report

RC Lemans Series Rd2 – Report

Shortly after the opening round of the 2016 RC Lemans Series the championship continued with round two held at the RACO 2000 club in Utrecht. Different from round one the race was held in dry weather which was of course well received by the drivers. In the LMP 1 modified class and after the three rounds of qualifying, Tobias Weist took the TQ from championship leader Tim Altmann and his brother Kai Altmann. Joachim Behnken and Timo Schad lined up in fourth and fifth respectively.
