Exotek D413 alloy rear hubs & 72T Flite spur gear

Exotek D413 alloy rear hubs & 72T Flite spur gear

Coming from Exotek is an aluminium rear hub set for the HB D413 as well as a 72T Flite series spur gear. Starting with the rear hubs, they are machined from high-quality 7075 aluminium and they feature vertical ball stud mounting positions for easy and precise roll centre adjustments. The hubs are of a heavy duty design but light of weight at the same time. Machined bearing seats make for precise bearing fit. An optional 3mm set screw on the hinge pin makes for improved hinge pin fit. Included with the hubs come two 2mm alloy washers to match the stock suspension geometry. Also new is the 48 pitch 72T Flite spur gear for Exotek’s slipper eliminator hubs. Made from fully machined POM to insure true roundness, the extra interior machining reduces the overall weight for a low rotating mass.

Yaniv Sivan wins Israeli League Rd6

Yaniv Sivan wins Israeli League Rd6

Round 6 of the Israeli League was recently held at the Nir Moshe racing track. After the three qualifying rounds Yaniv Sivan took the overall TQ from Omer Assayag is second and Tal Siles in third. The 40 minute race started with Yaniv Sivan in pole position, but he made two mistakes in the opening stages, allowing Omer Assayag to take over the lead only to loose it again around the 5 minute mark when Yaniv Sivan was back in the lead. Yaniv then started to open a gap on the rest of the field. Meanwhile an amazing battle for second and third was on between Tal Siles, Ofer Avitan and Aviv Mimon. 10 minutes from the end Tal Siles grabbed the second position in front of Ofer Avitan and this would also be the top 3 positions at the checkered flag. Yaniv Sivan would win the race with Tal Siles finishing in second, only 0.13 seconds behind Yaniv. Ofer Avian rounded out the top 3 result.

Xray XB2 steering knuckle Ackermann plates

Xray XB2 steering knuckle Ackermann plates

Xray have introduced new steering knuckle Ackermann plates for the XB2 2WD buggy. Adding to the standard “long” plate are middle and short plates that help to fine-tune the Ackermann angle during cornering. While the standard “2-slot” plate creates a mild steering response the optional 1-slot and 0-slot plates make for a more aggressive steering feeling with the short 0-plate being the most aggressive, making it ideal for tight and technical tracks. The plates are cut from 2.5mm carbon fibre, they come in pairs and are usable both on the left and right hand steering knuckle.

RPM Team Durango & Arrma 1/8th wing mount

RPM Team Durango & Arrma 1/8th wing mount

RPM have introduced wing mounts for Team Durango’s and Arrma’s latest 1/8th off-road vehicles such as the DEX8, DEX8T, DNX8, the Kraton, Typhon and Talion. The parts solve the breaking issues associated with the original mounts where primarily the front cross brace holes are cracking. RPM’s solution was to eliminate this hole in favour of a flat plane of solid nylon and on top of that the entire mount builds a curve to help add some impact flexibility during a crash. When running normally, the massive amount of material keeps the wing locked in place, providing stable down force on the rear of the vehicle. The wing mounts contain the support bars only and will require the use of the stock Team Durango or Arrma wing, two stock cross braces and stock mounting hardware.
